I've heard hes been impressive in practice. I think I even remember hearing hes outperformed Horton at times. Sounds like Snell could be a good one.

I think we are going to take what we are given, and that might mean needing a lot of bodies at RB to avoid fatigue and reduce injury risk at the position. If he runs with better pad level and drive than Horton, we play him to productively reduce defenses.

Probably gets a few snaps a few times/game. If he does well he might get a series. If someone gets dinged he probably gets a few series / game.

It sounds like he's already passed Horton on the depth chart. I hope so. Horton was way overrated because of his size. He runs too upright and fumbles way too often for a RB of his size.

Snell will pass Horton. Unfortunate for Horton. Really like the kid. He works hard. He's just not capable of being a productive running back at this level.

Horton runs like Eric Dickerson.

Horton however, is not Eric Dicketson.

How do you think UK gets him into the RB rotation this year?
Smell has gotten himself into the rotation. He had a great camp, and he is the powerful, low center of gravity runner we have lacked. Snell is the 2nd best running back on our team, although the senior Kemp will receive some deference due to his experience and status as a leader in the locker room. I think Snell's playing time will largely be taken from Mikel Horton, who is hurt.

Snell can't play - he's not on the two-deep depth chart.

If he is the power back we need who secured the ball well, he'll take Horton's reps.

Every time I see Mikel run, I think he's going to fumble.

Probably because on about half his carries, he does fumble sadly. I know that's hyperbole, but without data I'd be willing to guess he fumbles on about 10-15 percent of his carries.

Runs way too high.

And the one time I can recall where he lowered his pads was on the game winning TD run against ULL last year. He totally flattened the guy. Too bad he doesn't run angry like that more often.
