All of these music related threads has me thinking about the greatest decade for music videos and arguably for pop music. Definitely for videos though. So, what are some of the best you all remember? Here are a few of my favorites from that time.

Thriller is definitely the best music video of the 80’s. Best music of the 80’s was pretty much all of the hair bands and pop artists like Debbie Gibson and Paula Abdul and others. I had the biggest crush on Debbie Gibson when I was a kid . My favorite decades for music were the 60,s (although it was before my time because I was born in 76)), the 80’s and the 90’s.
Can't leave out this one! Whitney was incredible.

Arguing is no fun. You know what is? Music. 80's music at that. And Top Gun. Oh and shamelessly bumping up my own thread. Anyone else pumped up for Top Gun: Maverick like I am? Tom Cruise may be a nut, but he is one of the last great old school movie stars. Can't wait.

And I love the official music video of 'Working for the Weekend' that is all about Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and the Celtics, Lakers! Fun stuff, and a terrific song!

Total Eclipse of the Heart is a great one. Meatloaf was originally supposed to sing it.
The A-ha video of the comic book coming to life is on all the lists for good reason. The song was "Take on me". Singer Morten Harken who hits the incredible high note is incredibly modest except when proudly stating that he has never missed that note in 35 years of performing
