First ever post here. LOL! Long time lurker though. Love the Wildcats! Family from Garrett, KY. Anyways, two bands I love that you don't here much about, Karnivool... Sound Awake is my favorite album. Another is Hurt. Ten Ton Brick was kinda popular, but they have a lot of great songs. Vol. 1 and Vol.2 are amazing. Those are the two I immediately thought of. Chevelle is also AWESOME, but a little more popular. And of course TOOL. Thanks to everyone for keeping my lunch breaks so entertaining.

@rudd Are you a closet Gizzard fan?

Thee Oh Sees, Fuzz and Bass Drum o’ Death all make cameos on King Gizzard’s Pandora channel...including the songs you just posted. Good tunes.

C’mon man, confess. Let your gizzardness out into the open where belongs. It’s ok...they already know.

-ill have to look into them... don't know much about them.
Some of their stuff is really way out there...which is part of what I like about them...they experiment a lot. But it can get weird.

I suggest starting with the two semi-tame albums they put out in 2017 (I forget the titles).

Centro-matic (RIP) - This is the band that Jason Isbell wrote "To A Band I Loved" about.

For some idiotic reason (i.e. prolly user error), I can’t post a link from my phone, but I’ve always thought “Lotion” by Greenskeepers is weird/funky/cool albeit morbid as hell.

I'll be seeing Gizzard, (and Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats) at Bonnaroo this year.
