Just tried George T. Stagg the other night.....and wow. 140ish proof, and obviously it packs a punch. Really hearty whiskey. With a little water, it's perfect.

Need to try Wild Turkey 17. Have heard really good things.

Parker's Heritage Collection 2012. They blended the Evan Williams rye-based mashbill and a wheat mash and then finished it in Cognac barrels. The stuff was amazing.

Now, as far as whiskeys in general, I'd take the Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye from the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection any year I can get it over anything, including Pappy. Great rye whiskey is such a treat.

I don't guess I've drank true bourbon. I have a few favorite Whiskeys and Scotch.
Tullamore 14 yo single malt comes to mind.

Had 1792 for the first time last week. I don't drink as much bourbon, or as often, as I once did, but it's close to the top of my list.

Recently, Four Roses 2015 Limited Edition Small Batch.

All-time, Parkers Heritage 27yr, EH Taylor Warehouse C Tornado. Both were huge, lots of oak. Not really perfect for multiple drinks but I thought they were great.

Dang, you guys have expensive taste, LOL. I can't afford that. I currently am sipping Woddford Reserve, but after that is gone, going back to Elija Craig. For costs and taste , it is my happy medium.

Here's another that blew my mind.... Kentucky Owl $40 a shot, 133 proof think it was... Like you, I think there is too many good whiskey's out there reasonably priced that appeal to me. 133 proof is crazy...

This is a tough question. I think the best I have had is a 16 year old Four Roses OBSV Jim Rutledge Gift Shop selection. 123.4 proof. Thankfully, I have another bottle in the bunker for later. After that was the Elijah Craig Barrel Proof first release. Recently, i make a blend of Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve, Stagg Jr and Elijah Craig Barrel Proof that was outstanding. It came out at about 129.5 proof. Going back several years was the Makers Mark Gold Wax 101 Proof stand out in my mind.

George T Stagg, Pappy 20, and Eagle Rare 17 yr old from the Antique Collection are the 3 best I have ever had.

Admittedly haven't had very many, but from the ones I have tried I'd say it's close between Blanton's and Basil Hayden's.

Stagg Jr., and I've had several of the more expensive bourbons listed in this thread.

Blanton's Single Barrel.

I've had all the Pappy's including 23. It was great, but didn't trust myself to see through the hype and make an honest decision, so I'll stick with Blanton's.
