I know this thread will will generate a lot of obvious **** that we all drank in our younger days. But that's fine; nostalgia is fun.

Anywho, what is your favorite cheap booze that will keep a large group happy at a discount?

Mine:

(better than Goose, btw)

Whatcha got?

For inexpensive red, this is very hard to beat. $7.50/750ML (Costco or Total Wine & Whiskey in Louisville) for a cabernet that consistently rates 89-90 in Wine Spectator.

Vendange chardonnay is just as good as Woodbridge. The Mondavi name can get a bigger price.

Some places here in Atlanta offer Vendange for $6 for a 1.5 liter.

Daddy used to tell me granddaddy used to filter liquid shoe polish through slices of bread and drink it that seems pretty cheap.

This probably isn't what you were getting at, but this is my favorite bourbon on a budget ($20/handle). Flies off the shelf these days so I'm guessing I'm not alone:

Kroger sells a handle of vodka for $9.99. No clue what the name is but we always stock up for lake trips or whatever.

I'm sure it taste like **** straight but we only use it for mixed and frozen drinks.

Never had the Bota RedVolution nor the CC Pinot but will try it because you've given me reason.... And if it sucks that's okay cause I've yet to put anything out...

Probably Burnettes.

Here is the ghetto , rock gut, cheap liquor / wine drunk, and a bottleggers main inventory. Cisco was soon banned because of people dying from it. Cisco was no joke and hangovers where near death.

I once saw a homeless man in Cincy down a pint of that ****. He then proceeded to stumble about 10 paces down the sidewalk, sit down and light up a smoke.

From that day forward, I knew my future drink of choice.

Many mouthwash brands are about 55 proof and cheaper (1.5 liter for $2.25 at Walmart) than almost any form of drinking alcohol. This is the go to for many homeless alcoholics.

Reminds me of a few years ago, my brother was dating a girl. Her dad was a Korean war vet and pretty much lost his hearing. Great guy btw. Anyways, my brother invited him to come stay at his place on the lake for a week. Pops wife told him no beer, so he discovered Boones Farm wine. He went around telling (yelling) everyone that they should try some of this great wine that he just discovered.

Speaking of cheap alcohol. Does anyone here actually drink Busch Beer?

I drink Busch Light at home. 2 six packs of 16 oz. for 8 bucks at Marathon nearby. Bud Lite gives me a headache. I can't remember the last time I saw anyone drink regular Busch though. I go for Amberbock drafts or Bud at happy hour.

Pretty sure the water that comes out of my kitchen faucet is the same proof as Boones Farm.

Red Wine: RedVolution is really solid. Or hit up the guy at Corner Wine and he has some great wines <20.

Freixenet Sparkling Cordon Negro Brut Cava

Cheapest Single Malt I'll go to is Glen Moray ($34) or Tomatin ($32).

Titos and wild turkey are the best two name brands for the money.

Also every distilled spirit ive tried from trader joes was surprisingly good considering the price.
