Best game / worst game...so far

Now that they're almost half-way through the season, any thoughts on what is the best game and the worst game they have played to this point. No criteria, just your opinion.

Best game - I'm going to say it was the Kansas game although the UCLA game was impressive as well. For the Kansas game, they just blew them off the court, completely demoralized them. The defensive intensity was crazy good. Plus I think it made everyone else (teams, fans, coaches) let out a collective DAYUM! That game made a statement.

Worst game - Columbia. They just seemed really, really flat that game...uninterested. Not much energy, as Cal constantly says. Maybe it had something to do with finals week? and the impending match up with North Carolina.

BTW, I'm one of those that's all IN for 40-0...I ain't skeered.

I'm with W2R on this. I think our best games were against Missouri and Kansas, with Alabama and UCLA being 3 & 4.

Our worst games, by far, were Texas A&M and Columbia.

Best: Alabama. I was impressed with this the most because it was on the road, against a team that was supposed to give us trouble. We only won by 22, but that was deceptive. It was pretty much a 30 point beat down on the road until Cal put the walk-ons in.

Worst: A&M. 27%...that is all I have to say. Gritty win, but ugh overall. I put this ahead of Columbia because we were at full strength at A&M and still laid an egg. I do not believe Booker and Ulis played against Columbia.

Columbia was worst performance of season

Kansas was seemingly the best but holding UcLA to 7 first half points gets my vote for best

Worst - if Booker and Ulis had played it would be Columbia but since they didn't it has to be Texas A&M though they are a good team IMO

Best - UCLA and i don't know how anyone can say otherwise .

I am surprised more people aren't mentioning the UNC win. Sure, not as big of a margin, but UK controlled it throughout, against a team that will likely, whether fair or not, that lands somewhere between a 3 or 4 seed.

That being said, it has to be Kansas as the best win. KU may win "the toughest conference in college" again, and be a 1 or 2 seed. That it was on a neutral court, gives me a good idea of how they will play at tourney time. Fierce.

Worst game? Ole Miss. They're a decent team, but UK single handedly kept them in that game. Blown defensive assignments, lousy energy, bad decisions. It was an abomination.

After consideration I agree with the A&M game as being the worst. They finally got ahead late in the game, had a chance to go up by 10, I think, and let'em back in. The missed lay-up near the end to seal it, pretty much sums up that whole game. I had forgotten Ulis & Booker did not play in the Columbia game.

Can't argue w/the UCLA game as being the best. 24-0 lead, only scored 7 in a half, numbers don't lie. I was not able to watch the Bama game.... I just thought the dismantling of Kansas early on let everybody know Kentucky is as good as advertised. Kind of a wake up call for everyone as to what the rest of the season was going to be like.

Thanks for the posts. I think its interesting what others deem as a good or bad game. Hopefully we have a lot more good than bad games coming up...

Best Game: UCLA, Kansas, Mizzou (holding any team let alone UCLA to a mere 7 pts at halftime is ridiculous)

Worst Game: Columbia and maybe Texas A&M

Honorable mention for Best Game: UL (held UL to 1 assist as a team! Don't know if that says more about UK or less about UL) and @Alabama (game was really never in doubt by the first TV timeout)

Honorable mention for Worst Game: maybe Ole Miss (we played pretty darn good on O but the D was pretty ugly that day...though Moody was shooting lights out)
