I put in all three because the style is really close to the same. The definition has changed over years. Once again there arevso many great ones. I grew up listening to mo-town and soul and my legs and ankles still start jumping in my recliner when I listen to my generation music. I'm gonna begin with the man sitting on the of the bay.... Percy Sledge what a great and of course how have we left out the king of soul James Brown and underrated Lionel Ritchie. OFC

Isley brothers have been around since do wop. Drifters with Clyde Mccfatter( I think he was from Durham) and later With Ben E King did more to main stream R and B with the shag circuit up an down the east coast than any one.
