"We like Corby again" indicates that we liked him at some point in the past.

I never actually hated Corby. Seemed like a Penn State hater and most likely still is, but is right at the top when it comes to wrestling knowledge, and now as it turns out, as a human being.

As I said, "Mixed Emotions" by the Stones sums it up 😂.

Appreciate the kind words. I'm not a Penn St hater I would rather Cael win the next 10 titles then DT win 1

Hmm. Has anyone ever seen these two in the same room at the same time?

A seven month hiatus (or at least reduction) from negativity heaped on athletes when they fail to meet random fan’s expectations
My wife and I have been diehard Sports fans since the 60’s. Over the past few years we’ve dialed down our freakish devotion to FB and just dropped BB after 50+ years of futility (you know >> how do they define insanity). With the hockey loss last night we now enter a long cold summer of silence. I’m hoping that I can do something about my addiction to PSU wrestling. I mean it has taken priority over birthdays, holidays, farm work, and everything except perhaps the grandkids. This is not a terrible addiction, but, it’s a little unbalanced.

I agree of course given my bias - I’d love to hear your reasoning.

From the outside, I’ve just heard that Taylor has a massive ego and treats people based on a sliding scale on how much they can do for him - I.e., like a politician. When I run into people like that, I’m instantly turned off. That said, I’ve never met DT, so maybe that’s just ********.

I was always an Ed Ruth guy anyway.

I am as big a sports fan as there is. I just don’t understand piling on the athlete when the sacrifice and time they are obviously giving their best to try and win. I am a less understanding of professional athletes, most of whom are older and “should” be more mature. Legally or not, young adults are still learning and their brains are developing. Some competitive poor reactions/decisions are just that, and not a character flaw.

(This is why I posted, not accusing you of anything)

Watching some of the fans who attend the Awards Luncheon.

When the staff opens up the conference room doors from the hallway to the seating area I love to watch the stampede of 60 and 70 year olds rush the stage. Its like a Who concert gone bad but with attendees in slow motion rejuvenated on B12 shots..

It looks like the event staff announced the Social Security Administration just dropped off the last check before funds ran out and it is under one of the chairs.

Again this is only a small group but I've seen biting like an Iowa wrestler, kicking like it was a Nebraska wrestler taking their seat and chair throwing like a WWE event. (Best example i could think of).

Once seated the event is amazing, 1,000 fans acknowledging all the wrestlers, coaches, saff, student groups and PSWC groups, etc that help make the program be at the top of the mountain.

Great send off for the seniors.

The Hodge will probably be given out there. My guess is either Mitchell or SlipperyPete.

Cael's speech is worth the three hour drive even if Lincoln's Gettsyburg address was longer.

Me, im in that Cohort of 60 - 70 year olds, I hold back and end up sitting between the kitchen (food is warmer) * and the bathroom (just because).

See you folks there, I'm the guy there two hours early trying to get the best parking spot.

* it's a buffet

I haven't attended but will be sure to wear track shoes and elbow pads when I do. Your description is priceless!

Not that this would ever happen, but I'd love to get Gilman liquored up and hear what really happened out there.

I'm 100% certain he didn't leave because he'd rather live on a farm than in a condo.

Well, I think we’ve got a new project for @johnstownsteel. He’s still on probation from the Jax Forrest recruitment fiasco - this might be a way for him to get off probationary status.

Ask around. The stories are out there. Him and Jimmy definitely didn't see eye to eye

I have talked with Taylor multiple times and he has always been very pleasant to talk with. Always polite, and multiple subjects.

Just describing my experiences. Others I am sure have had different experiences.

This is my experience 100%.

So DT and Ed were signing stuff at a function back in the day during B/W weekend. My daughter asked if we could see Ed again.

Anyway we make our way there and DT had his head down into his phone and Ed got up and gave Faye a big hug and twirled her in the air.

Bo Nickal is super cool too.
