While I would love to see any of the three as part of the staff, I don't think Kentucky Basketball is a job where you gamble on someone with zero Head Coaching experience.
Ideally you want someone who is already a proven winner at the highest level.
Those three are less of a gamble in today’s coaching scene than Pope. Idc about his coaching experience before UK. These guys would get us players imo. They aren’t just Kentucky guys. They have respect with the youngins

The issue with Mark Pope is that he doesn't even know if he can sign primary target studs because he has never closed on one.
Kentucky shouldn't be a "let's get our diving permit" type school when it comes to recruiting, but that's precisely what Mitch made it into when he hired a guy who has never swam with sharks before in the recruiting ocean.
