Yes, Chris, I agree with you on the Palomino Express. Gunter and Lacy on the field at the same time in the days of 2-back offenses. With TU running the veer they were lethal. Both played in the NFL. Lacy was terrific in the USFL. Third leading rusher in 1983 in the USFL behind Herschel Walker and Kelvin Bryant at over 1000 yards when the Michigan Panthers won the USFL championship. It was cool seeing Lacy in 1984 play for the Panthers at Skelly Stadium against the Oklahoma Outlaws. Good QB matchup of Bobby Hebert v. Doug Williams. Nothing like walking a few hundred feet from the frat house to see professional football.
