I am a Hawkeye fan first, but I have degrees from both institutions. I not a fan of Nebraska sports, but I love the university (I earned my Ph.D. from UNL, so I never really bonded to the sports teams). While I am thrilled at the success Iowa has had, I think UNL will be back sooner than later. Yeah each side has their share of db Internet fans. But I've found the game fans of both institutions to be nice. I hope you guys make a bowl, if for nothing else, you get the practice time. Best of luck, and see you this winter in hoops.
