I watched a bit of 2 PSU games. They play tough physical ball like they played for the coach who got canned. Beat a ranked VaTech team handily. Don't think NU is as good as them.Still have not gotten a gut feeling for the quality of Maryland and PSU, two other teams that lost a lot of talent vs last year (and a coach).
Absolutely. FWIW, we are 4.5 point favorites. Would love to see a double digit victory, but winning by 1 would suffice.Really, really curious about tonight as we get to see our Cats playing the first team that is not clearly athletically outmatched by us.

Well PSU just torched #15 VT.B1G is tough, very tough, but, IMO, a notch below last year.
What also stands out to me is that there are a few teams we might be better than. Prior to the season starting, I thought there was only 1, Nebraska:
-Purdue - I figured they'd be offensively challenged. But man, when your hope lie in Stefanovic having a big game, you are in troooooble. Kid is a great shooter, but easy easy to shut down if the other teams clamps down on him.
-Minnesota - While they have 2 good transfer, they do not appear B1G ready yet. Marcus Carr alone won't do it. Kalscheur is another one easy to control if there's no Oturu drawing attention.

The other teams, MI, MSU, WI, IA, Rutgers, IL, OSU, IU, look, to me, a notch above the remainder of the competition.

While I have a handle on how NU FB plays vs point spread, I have no feeling for BB vs spreadAbsolutely. FWIW, we are 4.5 point favorites. Would love to see a double digit victory, but winning by 1 would suffice.
I think with the cancellations, BIG has already won the challenge.B1G is tough, very tough, but, IMO, a notch below last year.

I agree with you. Watched both games and the Illini really impressed me. Garza had an off night from the field but make some clutch and-one plays in the second half. Was surprised how much Iowa relied on the 3, reminded me of NU. Live by the three, die by the three......I watched the Iowa/UNC and Illinois/Duke games last night. Both the Hawkeyes and the Illini looked really good. UNC pretty much shut down Garza and forced Iowa to beat them with the threes. Iowa was up to the task, but I am not sure that will be the case every night. If Iowa goes cold from deep on any given night, it might be in trouble. By contrast, I thought Illinois showed more depth and diversity in its offensive weapons. As much as it pains me to say it, I think Illinois might win the B1G this year.
My UNC alum wife insisted on watching the Iowa game in a separate room from me last night. I guess I was getting too smug. I wish she had stayed up for the manhandling of Duke, though. She would have enjoyed that.I remember when the ACC used to dominate this thing.
Nope, but set your VCR for tomorrow at midnight. We playing tonight?
Yet, the Cats are 4 1/2 point favorites. Vegas doesn't seem to think so.I watched a bit of 2 PSU games. They play tough physical ball like they played for the coach who got canned. Beat a ranked VaTech team handily. Don't think NU is as good as them.
Is the next move to the Travel Channel?NU-Pitt game moved from ESPNU to ESPN2 to ESPN now.
