BIG Difference Between the Cards 2014 Defense and 2015!

A lot of questions with peoples opinions and sharing those opinions between the 2014 and 2015 between differences revolve around the differences between the Offense of those seasons. First and foremost the 2014 Offense had very inexperienced QBs and early injuries with Dante Parker and Michael Dyer, and Lamb etal! The Offense in 2014 was very inconsistent and erratic and kept our Defense on the field and CBPs full packages were not implemented. In 2015 the CARDS Offense should be much improved with a proven stable of RBs and a better knowledge of DCs Todd Grantham's techniques and coaching style. Only real difference with the Cards going into this season and 2014 is that we have only one proven WR in James Quick and the loss of Parker, Eli Rogers and Kai De la Cruz. I really feel much better going into this season even with those losses and the Defense which should really be even better!

Only real difference between the Cards Offense from last year to this year is Quick being the only proven WR? I would argue that your WR's are in good shape with the kid from UAB and the Texas A&M transfer.

The Oline on the other hand lost three veteran starters to the pros and are being replaced with first year Juco's and true freshman. Isn't that a much larger concern?

I was listening to 93.9 this afternoon, and I believe thy were talking about how we were 92 in rushing last season. This in itself explains a lot of the reason why we struggled on offense at times given the inexperience we had at QB.

I went back and watched a lot of this past seasons games and we missed a lot of downfield opportunities. This rested with our QB's not not reading the defenses correctly. I have a feeling this season those opportunities will not be wasted.

With the above observations, our D spent a lot of time going back in forth on three and outs. To make it worse, a lot of them were short fields.

I am starting to realize why the coaches are feeling better about this season.

Like Pike, I too am concerned about the O-line. If the O-line can do the job then the skilled players will make plays. I'm confident of the talent the skilled players bring to the table. The defense is going to be solid IMO.
