Let's hear your secret ingredient(s).
Not too secret, just tinkered with a bunch of different bitters and syrups. Tried agave syrup because the best OF I had was in Lexington before a game in Feb 2024. But it didn't work as well as that bartender for some reason, so I spent a good part of this fall (and way too much money) concocting my own.

My current recipe:

2 oz Elijah Craig
3 dashes Angostura aromatic bitters
3 dashes Fee Brothers west Indian orange bitters
6-7 "pumps" Bartender's Secret Sauce organic demerara cocktail syrup (the bottle has a pump)
1-2 Woodford Reserve bourbon barrel bourbon cherries
1 orange swath
1 2"x2" clear ice cube (or regular ice if you don't have a clear ice cube maker)
1 double old fashioned cocktail glass (crystal preferred!)

Grab a bartender's mixing shaker with strainer - drop in some regular fridge ice, then add EC, bitters and syrup. Stir with a bar spoon for at least 30 seconds (to chill nicely). DO NOT SHAKE - it makes the mix cloudy! Stir firmly but not like a crazy person.

Wipe the rim of the glass with the orange swath, then drop inside.

Add 1-2 cocktail cherries (don't go cheap here - go top shelf or go home!).

Strain stirred mixture into glass over orange swath, cherries and ice block. Discard the fridge ice before next use (do not add to your glass ice - best to pour on fresh ice).

Enjoy!

Pope should hire an assistant to stand on the sidelines with a bb gun. Ever time a player starts standin round, he should pepper him in the butt to get the butt in gear. No standing around allowed tonight. I want constant movement without the ball. Fellers must use violent cuts to get open.
