I hate posting this because I don’t want to jinx anything but ND defense is really slow.

Not possible to jinx anything...! we’ve executed almost flawlessly so far in both offensive series, and frankly I don’t think Notre Dame expected it. We haven’t seen our offense play this way since 2017, either.

I was referring to their defense, their offense is going to be hard for us to stop. They are big and good on that offensive line, they actually dwarf us. I do realize there is 2 halves in every ball game and ND has the advantage on making adjustments since they have more talent.

They do but they're also going to know they've been in a fight after tonight no matter what happens the rest of the way. The 180 on attitude alone impresses me. I am very happy with what I've seen. Satterfield is the real deal.

If the offense can keep sustaining decent drives eating clock . That will help this small D-line from getting wore down much faster.

I haven’t either hopefully we’re able to make adjustments. ND coach didn’t seem to concerned about the score.

We are doing a whole lot better than most everyone expected. Late miscues (mental fatigue?) cost the Cards a late TD. We're not supposed to win this game but somebody forgot to tell the Cardinals that. These kids believe they can win this game and that's all about the attitude.

Go CARDS!!!

Guys just be happy things so far are looking like they won't be a total repeat from last season. The small D-line avg 255 we know will struggle all year .And lack of quality depth on both lines . This team at least for a half showed alot of grit . Program going forward with better talent is in good hands just sit back and enjoy the work in progress as this thing is being built.

Yes I agree. It's a rebuilding process and these guys will have issues going forward. We'll be OK in about 3 years.

I think it’s possible that we will be better sooner than that ... but we must have the Pass we saw for the majority of the first half, and not the one who is trying so hard to make up for his first fumble that he forgets to catch the ball on the shotgun snap.

And there we go ... he’s past the line of scrimmage, so you can’t be holding the ball like you might suddenly pass or lateral it. You’re a running back at that point.

Gotta give ND credit on the TD play call ... they attack the center of the field, right where Khane Pass was before he went out in the last series with the injury. #38 is Khane’s backup.

Defense is still battling. Love it! Now the offense needs to put a drive together to give us a chance in the 4th quarter.

Almost a great play on the Atwell pass we settle for 3. If we didn’t have the turnovers and mistakes it would be a lot closer. I am glad to see we are still playing hard.

Almost just what the doctor ordered. Obviously could have used a TD there, but at least the offense put a drive together there and gave the defense a rest.

Would really like to see us get one more stop here. Notre Dame has the win, and I fully expect that they will be looking to score again to impress the poll voters.

I stand corrected! Kelly runs it three straight times then punts. But we did a great job stopping them.

I think Satterfield could get us back on track quicker that I thought. Then in 3 years we could be a challenge to the top teams.

It’s actually pretty fast, they were just confused early & out of position (had no idea of what UL was going to do).
After the first Q UL scores 3 points on 12 drives, averaging barely 3 yards per play.
Satterfield even said in his post game presser he schemed his offense to avoid ND’s DL speed. ND’s secondary has a 4.2 guy (Pride is also sprinter on track team), a 4.3 guy & a couple 4.4 guys. So they aren’t slow.
ND’s LBs were just out of position early.
ND (thankfully) brought in the Sophomores who are a lot better LBs & things changed fast.

So I obviously disagree with ND being slow.

Ok. Take that information with you and move on please. Don’t want to hear another thing about ND until basketball season. Go Cards!!

It’s a compliment to Satterfield’s ability to gameplan to negate ND’s speed.

Your post is par for the course though of how some of you are so negative all the time.

You are catching us at a time when we are a pretty salty bunch. None of us are pleased with a 10-game losing streak. We are a program that had won 67% of our games between 1998 (the year Cardinal Stadium opened) and 2017, so we tend to take our frustrations out on anyone who visits.

If Kelly and Notre Dame had been kind enough to lose to us last Monday, you would no doubt have seen us feeling much more kindly to you and your Notre Dame friends.
