Thanks my man. I hope you didn't have to pull an all-nighter to assemble all of this!

Quick reax just on this week's telecasts:

  • CSU at Cats: Whoa! When was the last time Shon was on color commentary for the 'Cats? Maybe early days BTN?
  • Cats at DePaul: Maybe the last time the 'Cats played on truTV may have been one of their March Madness runs? Did a quick googlesearch and learned TurnerSports is carrying the Big East for the first time, which is why this game is on one of their channels. Usually during non-con, the game is on the home team's media partner. (Unless it's a specific made-for-TV type tournament, like the Greenbrier Tipoff which is on CBS Sports.)

Shon last did NU color on January 27, 2024, home against Ohio State. He'd done a few road games but that was his first game in Evanston in over a decade.

Last game on truTV was the 2024 tournament loss to UConn, so not that long ago.

Appropriate that Shon is on the call tonight. He was on the last NU team to play against Cleveland State.

Shon always was a class act. When he was on the NU staff, he always made sure my wife and I were very well taken care of when we traveled to away football games. His responsibilities were somewhat reduced, however, when we met FloridAlum and figured out how to attend his Purple Parties.

I think the Illini might be even better than Purdue this season. Beat tech even with some out with injuries
