It would be something if the big xii could run the table in the bowl games to offset the sorry start to the 2016 non conference season. Here are the games:

12/27 Boise St vs BU - would it be an upset for BU? BU still potent on offense. Motivation?

12/28 WV vs Miami - this one is a toss up.

1-1 at this point

12/28 A&M vs KSU - old ball coach figures out a way to win; TK up to old tricks by tossing pick six.

12/29 OSU vs CU - Buffs, too much turmoil in Stoolwater

12/30 Georgia vs TCU - Can't go against Patterson in bowl games

1/2 Auburn vs OU - definitely one Bob Stoops and Sooners should win

So, 4-2 (3-1 vs SEC) is my prediction. Big XII needs this to be right to start off 2017 in the right frame of mind for the voters.

Auburn's defense played fairly well this season, but how it will do against an explosive offense it hasn't faced this year is anyone's guess. Auburn finished with the 18th best defense vs OU's 88th "best" defense and yielded only 16 points per game as OU yielded 30 points per game.
It seems like a "tortoise vs hare" matchup. It looks like OU will face the best defense it has played against this season as Auburn faces the best offense it has played against this season.
On paper it looks like a game OU can win, which would even Stoops' bowl record at 9-9.

This is Bob's best chance of winning a bowl game since 2011 Iowa. Of course, the Alabama upset in the Sugar was his signature win since beating Florida State. OU needs this win against Auburn.

Pryor, Great post. I liked your assessment of TK throwing a pick-6 and you don't want Patterson in a bowl game. I think 4-2 is manageable for the B12.

Baylor is in a tail spin, even with a new coach arriving. L
WVU-Miami may just be one of the most exciting games of the bowl season - W
A&M-KSU is a toss up, but the Wildcats have won 5 of the last 6 - W
OSU-CU is another good match up, but CU's D and running game are too strong - L
TCU-UGA Patterson is 9-5 during bowl season. UGA is young and finds ways to lose - W
OU-AU as Oklabama said, Bob needs this one. I like our D against their O. - W

They held Clemson to 19 points. They average almost 300 yards per game rushing, with an average of 5.6 yards per rush. They will be big, physical, and fast up front on both sides of the ball. If we don't play nasty up front, we'll get embarrassed. Playing an 8-4 team in the Sugar Bowl is another of those "no-win" situations, unless we were to blow them out, which I think is highly unlikely.

I'd take a 1 point win, man. "When we make the handoff, I'll double back, grab one of 'em, and beat the hell out of him. Huh?"
