Texas- Big statement by the Horns on Saturday. It's only fair to consider them the conference favorite and accept that they just opened the door for playoff contention. However, they aren't perfect and Bama has some glaring issues. We will need to throw the ball if we're going to have a chance in the RRR.

Kansas State - Currently looks like a clear #2. Beating Troy like that is something to write home about.

Oklahoma - Jury is still in deliberation on just how serious of a threat we pose as contenders but for now we are in the mix. Both lines need to start getting better quick. The tools are their.

Everybody else is cannon fodder or playing spoiler. TCU will start putting it together late but too late. Tech and Baylor are already broken. Kansas is a great story but 3 conferences losses is likely the minimum.

The Oline minus Byrd, played better but the Dline, especially the DEs, the talent just not there. The only pressure I saw was rushing 5-6 and most of that was Stutsman.

Kanak must step up next

He'll get there. He looks right where Stutsman was a year ago. Danny will guide him. I'm sure the game is moving a little fast for him. Them guards and tackles all look like a huge blob of whatever color the jerseys are. It slows down and the reads start coming. Feeling zones is different.

Need more studs, recruiting is the way out not transfers. They transfer for a reason. Just saying.
Keep recruiting studs is the only way out of mediocrity and thats never a guarantee. It is what it is.

When you do not bring pressure its easy for 5 OL to block 3 or 4 DL, Once BV starts dialing up the blitzes we will see a huge difference.
