Yes Kenny is quite erratic when pressured...which was clearly evident in Norman. We have to limit the touches to Turpin. He is lightning fast....he is their one offensive and special teams player who has burned us the worst.

My biggest concern is some complacency setting in with OU winning so big in their first meeting. Being victorious can be a dangerous thing. TCU having lost will have no problem being up for this game to avenge their embarrassing loss to OU. And TCU has the advantage of recognizing what they can do differently in the 2nd meeting to achieve a different outcome.

Rematches are always dangerous. OU just needs to jump on TCU early and often and try to put this game away early like they did in that 1st meeting.

TCU will feel confident after holding OU scoreless in 2nd half but I think that was more of a product of LR letting off the gas more than it was TCUs defense.

Look for TCU to run that QB draw often on 3rd and long since it seems MS doesn't knows how to defend it.

I expect OU to win 34-29 in a tightly contested game. At least I hope its OU with the higher score.

Seriously tho, I thought at the time Riley should have kept the offense wide open but after the game I thought he slowed it down mainly to eat up some clock but I think he went too vanilla. I also thought it was a good thing OU did not run up the score and he knew we would likely face them again in a couple of weeks so no need to rub salt in it giving them more fire for the rematch. I don't think he will let up this time and he very well may not be able to as this one will probably be much closer. Jump on em early and often and keep the foot on the gas. I hope they are fired up and ready to go, a lot at stake in this one.

I don't think Baker & Co. will have difficulty getting UP for this game. I just hope we don't come out flat and slow starting. I was confused by our game plan in the second half of TCU Game 1 but I think it was the right thing to do. Don't give TCU motivation for Game 2. No need to beat them by more than 18 or show them all the cards in our deck.

If that happens then this team isn’t ready to begin with.

I can't remember where, but I read that Patterson said TCU did not put everything they had on the field in the first game.
They didn't want to show OU everything.
If this is true, then Saturday will be a cakewalk, because their Head Coach is a moron.
Patterson is saying he held some parts of their game back, at the expense of a shot at the playoffs, so they would have something new for the rematch with OU?
This makes my head hurt.

Isn't he also the one who originated the catch phrase 'Don't ever let 'em see you Sweat'? :p

If this is true then I agree he is a moron. What a great message to send to your team that you intentionally sabatoged their playoff chances in that game. Would love to get a link and read this.

On the flip side, what makes him think OU didn't hold stuff back especially considering Riley going vanilla in the 2nd half cuz it was such an *** stomping in the first half. Lol

This sounds like fan speak. There's no freakin way Sweat Man didn't go for broke to win. TCU just wasn't good enough.

Matt Foley aka Gary Patterson should just shut up.He is looking foolish with his childish comments.I hope we spank them again, TCU is starting to get on my nerves.

Just think what all his blabbering is doing to the Sooners sharpening the machetes? They were beat like a drum...in one half !! TCU is going to get thumped like Mizzou and Nebraska in past conference championship games.

I think this team is so big time focused after the Kansas game. I do believe it was a huge learning experience for the entire team that will pay dividends.

Injuries & defensive schemes are my only concerns.

This one reads like he is really a Good Ol' Boy, and is prepared to take one for the conference...'It's Best for the Big XII'...

http://www.star-telegram.com/sports/college/big-12/texas-christian-university/article187151048.html

That's BS...What it sounds like, to me, is that he is preparing his concession speech, and trying to make himself look Good in yet another Sooner Whoopin'...Rotsa Ruck with THAT, Sweat Hog!

I read that article too, humblesooner...Someone pointed out how OU slacked up in the second half, and that possibly Riley was holding back something for the CCG. Mr. Belligerent said, 'Well don't they know that I did that, too...We have some plays we didn't use in that first game, either'... Original Thinker he is NOT...

He IS a good candidate for signing on as the Face of Jack Black Pit Boss Antiperspirant, something he seems better suited for than coaching...Boss Hawg?

Yeah. That was the context. Not sure if he was being truthful or if he was just trying to make himself look as smart as LR.
Riley held back plays, because the game was essentially over at the half and he didn't need them.
Patterson held plays back because.........?????????
