26 1/2 point underdogs, State rival who has Heisman favorite, etc... I cannot think of a bigger win! Maybe LSU in 2007, but this might have a much bigger impact!

I'd still rate LSU higher, but this one is close to that one (in terms of games I have seen).

When you look at where Ky was early in the season vs. what UofL expected to do? Then you beat them on the road as a 27 point underdog? I'd say this is bigger than LSU. Had today's win been at home then no! On the road against #11 Uofl our arch nemesis, hell yes!

I am sure ATS is "Against the Spread"! Now if U.K. won and it was "say" their 3rd win of the year, it would not rate high! But you have to consider what all was accomplished today! Better Bowl, Stoops signature win, back from 0-2 start, last game of year etc.... that with all the other that could ( and I am saying could) then this one is the biggest!

I would maybe go with beating Oklahoma in 51 Cotton Bowl but if we are just going with games I have witnessed in my lifetime I would still put beating #1 and eventual national champ LSU above this one but this one is pretty dang special and has to be right up there. Hard to really put one over the other.

Hell no, it's freaking UL, they should have lost to Virginia, Duke and were totally dismantled by Houston. It is not even a top 10 win in program history.

UK is just as talented as UL or more talented, only spot is a once in generation QB who singlehandedly shifts the field. He is 2-3 score QB that great. Our RB's, OL, DB's, WR's are better. Their front 7 is marginally better but not by much, many are transfers or other program guys. Their TE is going to be a pro. Our talent level is as good or better. You put this QB out there and he is whole team for the most part.

If we beat Alabama or number 1 ranked LSU or Florida than maybe top 10
Hell UK has bigger wins this year than the UL win.
A little hyperbole. UL is not that great.

I don't mean any disrespect to our current guys. We should have beaten them the last 2 years. Make int. 2 years ago and over, Petrino puts in Jackson and were not prepared after blowing big lead. Good win but UL is not some juggernaut, they would have been beaten 4-5 times in the SEC.

EVER? No. Biggest upset maybe although the spread was ridiculous. Those two teams today were pretty even.

I would put in top 5 in my lifetime: Others to consider: LSU in 2007, Bama in 98, @Penn State in 77, Wisconsin in 84 HOF Bowl, @LSU in 98, @Georgia in 77 and 2009, Louisville in 02 (road) and 07 (home).

Lots of great opinions. Whether this is the best win or not it sure feels as good as any win ever. Just never thought this 0-2 team that started the season would man up and take care of business the way they have.. Very proud of the team and especially Stoops.. Dude gets paid well but he took some serious criticism early on.

Biggest win at least in my lifetime is still beating #1 LSU. If I recall correctly they still went on to win the title.

UK Fans, if you had a "Little brother," didn't you kick his A$$ every now and then , just to keep him in line , and let him know who's the boss. No difference today!

Depends on how you define biggest. If you define it as beating an elite opponent in a game that's highly visible on the national stage, then no. That would have to be LSU, closely followed by Oklahoma (I think LSU because it was more widely visible due to TV).

However, if you define biggest as the win that has the greatest long term impact on changing the trajectory of the program, then this could potentially be that. It's simply too early to tell at this point.

While the LSU win was great, it did nothing to change anything meaningfully with UK football and outside of UK fans, you'll find few college football fans who remember that game and even fewer who care.

Whether this game proves to be a springboard to greater success next year and beyond remains to be seen. Let's hope that's the case though.

I think it's still LSU. LSU was #1 at the time and went on to win the title. When we won that game it felt like we had arrived and could compete with the big boys. We all know that didn't work out but that was the feeling at the time. This win today is certainly huge and changes the mood around the program. I don't feel like this team is ready to compete with the big boys. Not yet. It's a great win but I think LSU was the better team compared to UL and the win gave so much excitement into UK football.

I'm 32 and to me this was the biggest win in my lifetime. The LSU win was huge but that was a home game and we were 5-1 and ranked at the time, so that had upset written all over it. We were heavy underdogs on the road today and nobody thought we had a chance to win. I'm still in shock but elated that we pulled it off!

Again it is debatable! However, just for a moment imagine if they had not lost to Houston last week and "WE" were the ones who knocked them out of playoffs! Now that would have taken it to an entirely different level!!!!

The LSU win and 98 Bama were bigger, but this one is right up there in terms of what it might mean to the program in the long run.

The Bama win wasn't that big. It was 97 not 98 and they went 4-7 that year. Beating undefeated Oklahoma in 51 and 2007 LSU are tough to top.

Beating Oklahoma was bigger. Mythical National Title and beating a team who hadn't lost a game in 3 years, winning 31 straight games. According to the CJ:

"Following Kentucky's win, Earl Ruby, the sports editor of the Louisville Courier-Journal, wrote, "The University of Kentucky today earned - and I mean earned - its greatest football triumph since it took up football in 1881."

This win has potentially far more long term impacts than the win over LSU. This win should put to bed the Petrino vs Stoops hiring controversy, takes Stoops off the hot seat, solidifies UKs selling point to recruits of a program on the rise, helps with in state recruiting, and ups the bowl standing. A win on the road against the 11th ranked in state rival is bigger in the big picture.
