I'm not a fan of him. Think he was a whiny *** when he left Penn State complaining about about fans and was a giant douche at Houston that his best players hated playing for at the end of his time there... that being said I'd take him over Frost

I think he's a good coach but I worry about his recruiting. Saban is a damn fine coach but it's his relentless recruiting that makes him an all time great.

Wouldn’t be my top choice, but I would take him over Frost. Doesn’t seem like a Trev kind of guy though.

I agree and I agree.

Trev does have a track record (in hockey) of hiring dudes that have accomplishments.

in P5, right now, the only resume of a guy that NU could get for sure (I think) is Gus Malzahn.

After that, I don't know who the big name would be.

Yeah, not the same resume but clearly doing well. NU is a much better job than Baylor in every aspect.

I don't know if he is the recruiter that Gus would be but I still like him.

Jim Leonard from Wisconsin is a gamble that could pay off...but again, recruiting. Not sure he gives HS kids a boner when he calls.

Than again we don’t know if either one could recruit as well as we expect them too..

with how much of a dumpster fire we are, a few winning seasons for him at Nebraska would probably land him another pro job

do like him as a coach though.

Nebraska isnt getting Arnada; Hell Nebraska isnt getting a power 5 head coach with a winning record to come here. Why move from a southern base where you are making 3.5 million with no pressure to win to move to Nebraska to make just 5 million, the pressure is great, and you have no recruiting base.

Nebraska is going to have to get an up and coming coordinator.

He was CORRECT about the Joe Cult PSU fans. He is a good coach and would be a HUGE upgrade over Frost.

Please no I think we might be surprised at p 5 coaches that would be interested in the Nebraska job, as for Arnada he might be interested because the big 12 will be a also ran in a few years

Please, god, no. Do not torture me with him. He literally caused me to stop rooting for the Texans (after a dozen other brain dead trades/signings finally did me in). The Texans pivoting to a full-on religious organization also caused me to stop supporting them but Bill gave away Hopkins and Clowney for free and that was the end of the organization. Please do not make me suffer through his "run the ball up the center's ***" on 1st down every possession again. I've suffered enough.

Used to be, yeah. Bill, Cal McNair and Jack Easterby literally killed my interest in the team after being a die hard fan from the day the franchise was announced. I just couldn't take it anymore watching the team I support give away their best players for less than pennies on the dollar. Then the pivot into a religious organization instead of a football team sealed the deal.

I keep seeing his name brought up and I usually cringe at the thought. The Husker/Texans fans I see don't seem to be impressed with that name.

I religiously watched the worst NFL QB of all time not named the Peterman, Brock Osweiler, play QB and it didn't break me. Bill O'Brien/Cal McNair/Jack Easterby did. That should say something.

Big time coaches are about EGO. Proving they are the **** with all eyes on them. Not I don't want to go there cause I scared I might get fired.

In 2021…every program has money. You can’t just buy coaches any more when you’re Nebraska. Whats the difference between $7mill at Nebraska and $4 mill at iowa state or some mid major? Those guys will take job security at 4 over Nebraska at 7 all day. This will be a hard coaching search and will result in someone looking to get back into P5 who previously flamed out somewhere else or some unknown. Either way, some will like it. Most will hate it. There’s no home run hire coming….

You don't know that. Aranda fricken worked at Wisconsin of all places and they are nowhere near the national name that Nebraska is when Nebraska is winning big.

Aranda will always be 3rd best in the state of Texas from a brand perspective. At Nebraska it's the biggest brand in an entire division.

Jim Leonhard was a pro's pro in the NFL for a long time. I think a lot of kids would take his call. I kind of like this angle. Would be great to have a younger guy that is hungry to build his own legacy. Kind of like a Barry Alvarez. Tom Osborne no longer casts a long shadow over this program. He's just a kindly old grandpa now. Our last 3, soon-to-be 4 loser coaches have reset expectations.
