I didn't see it in that article but in another article, it says the family had hired a lawyer. The implication was that move is going to slow down the process.

Sure Bill, let's rush to possibly make your player eligible. Talking it out will solve the issues. Hopefully, one of the discussions will teach you not th end your sentences with a preposition.

Hook Self up with a show cause because ending a sentence with a preposition is as egregious as I have seen.

Obviously if the family is lawyering up then they are not willing to just tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth. The fact that they are stalling is not the greatest sign to me that the are innocent in the affair. If they were there would be no reason to be paying someone to represent them at this juncture. Self is playing with fire in the rush to get Alexander back on the court before the matter is thoroughly resolved.

The NCAA has a little more leverage when it comes to active student athletes. If they feel either the school or player are not being forthcoming then they can infer a negative response.

That is a rule up with which I will not put.

Non drunk or stoned reply. Btw, the internet, ty Al Gore, can teach you things. Some of those are proper diction. If the preposition thing throws you, look it up.

Unless it involves $100k of jewelry. Then the NCAA needs to wait for proof.

I bet Illinois fans are getting last laugh right now. Thank God Cal does not have to deal with this headache.

Not much to talk about if his mom took out a loan with an agent before the season even began.

Will the NCAA say there was no way Cliff could have known, therefore he's fine, aka Cam Newton?

How do you differinate a loan against future earnings and a loan against future earning? Thomas was sold jewelry with a loan against future earnings. One company specialized in selling jewelry and the other in straight cash. Or how about an athletes family getting an automobile? See Boatright, UConn.

I think he should just stay quite, some will have a field day because he says . "But the kid is going to have no chance to play in the NCAA tournament. He is going to have no chance to do what he came to college for". So he came to college to play basketball not get an education. I didn't know he was being held out of class as well :)

Nice catch! I think some of these coaches have been in the business of recruiting players so long that they actually forget that they are also recruiting students.
