I think he may have puffed the magic dragon before the PAC-12 title game today. Dude is rambling like crazy. Hilarious.

Yeah and it's been like this every game of the Pac 12 tourney I've watched, not just tonight. Never seen anything like it either. Bill's tag line seems to be "Dave, right?" as if he's not sure of the guy's name.

Would like to see him do a Duke game with Vitale. Bill would be all over the flopping.

He's like the opposite of Dick Vitale. They both ramble on about meaningless nonsense, but Vitale does it to listen to himself talk and to brag about himself or his friends. Bill just doesn't get a f**k and he's going to speak his mind, even if he insults the entire world in the process. It's hilarious.

Tuning in now, it's halftime. Looks like it shouldn't be much of a game second half, but I wanna watch it just for Bill Walton, too.

Honest to God, I have been turning around looking at my tv every 5 seconds wondering who in the hell is rambling like bat-**** crazy during that game. LMAO.

"LET THEM PLAY! STOP BLOWING THE WHISTLES! PEOPLE COME TO THE GAMES TO WATCH THE PLAYERS PLAY NOT WATCH THE OFFICIALS ON THE FLOOR AND THE DANM PLAYERS ON THE BENCH! LET THE BOYS PLAY!"

He's fired up about the Dead shows in Chicago this summer. Mentions it every game. The Stones are touring soon, and he's getting hyped about that now.

I saw him at a show in San Francisco a couple years ago. I'd love to burn one with him and talk some hoops and Grateful Dead.

There is method to his madness, even if we aren't transcendent enough to understand it.

There are no "Dead shows" anymore. They, ah well died with Jerry.

You have to admit though wade through it all and he makes a darn good point about just letting the guys play.

I thought the same thing last night. His brain has to be fried, no one can be nuttier than his comments. He is totally on a different planet or maybe he is proof alien's do exist?

-- they don't hate each other at all. You guys ever see Abbott and Costello? Rowan and Martin? Heck, how bout Seinfeld and George and/or Kramer. Walton and Pasch are a "comedy duo" commentating team in the classical sense of the term. That they have some folks fooled is a testament to how well they mesh.

Dave Pasch is the best "straight" man since Dick Smothers, and Walton, well, what can you say? His drug-influenced/enhanced stream-of-consciousness soliloquies mixed with genius basketball player insights (and Walton WAS a playing genius) are things of pure beauty.

He's not just a genius in regards to basketball, either. The man is an encyclopedia on any topic he has an interest in. He will bust out music quotes, facts and figured about various national parks and geography, and masterfully weave them all into basketball discussion. He might spin right off this planet at some point but until then he's incredibly intelligent...just in a way many people can't relate to.

Well tonight he said Kentucky's bigs couldnt guard Arizona's. That Arizona would beat them soundly. You know he was on something to say that.
