So maybe we get to find another suitable young up and comer DC from a smaller school who has a stud linebacker and cornerback who is under utilized. Who knows… sometimes you have to take a few on the chin to land a haymaker!

Not going to happen, but Jay Hill, BYU defensive coordinator gets my vote.
His BYU defense shut down Colorado last night.

I’m sick of up and comers at this point. Let’s nail a great 1 to the board and call it a day

With BV being on the hot-seat and possibly only having one year left, going to be near impossible to find an experienced DC to come to Norman. More than likely going to be Brandon Hall.

Maybe Brent should consider pulling a Gary Patterson and assume the DC role also. Other head coaches also take on coordinator duties. What’s he got to lose?

No. It’s a disaster in full sight.

He is probably going to have no choice but to do that. Unless the brass tells a potential DC that BV's isn't going anywhere for at least 3 more yrs. Perhaos thats how they got Arbuckle to come, 3 yr guarantee that BV will not be fired before then.
Who really knows?

BV has only been coaching at OU for three seasons, and he's already on his 4th Offensive Coordinator and soon to be his 3rd Defensive Coordinator. When you have that kind of turnover at the coordinator level in such a short period of time, there is something wrong at the top.

No excuse losing to Navy even with all of the defections and injuries.
Throwing the ball 43 times against a team that is vulnerable to the run is ridiculous.
Sawchuk, Tatum and Robinson were not used well or often.
Give me a break.

Luckily the guy calling the plays will be different next year.

BV should bring Patterson on as an analyst or even DC. Chip Kelly at OSU has that offense rolling.
