I'm four episodes in. I think the show has gotten weaker each season, but I'm still enjoying it (although it's just a depressing show to watch). No Ben Mendelsohn (at least so far) hurts it this season.

I watched the first season but for some reason haven't been motivated to watch the 2nd season, I've heard mixed reviews about the 2nd season so not sure I want to invest the time.

Man, this season was a let down. I liked the stuff with the trial, but after that, it went downhill. I didn't like the ending at all.

Well they weren't bad people, they just did a bad thing.

Doesn't get more boring than that. Although I thought when Ozzy panicked it was going to really hit the fan but that turned out to be irrelevant.

I agree the writers and producers were excellent at keeping it interesting and keeping the viewer drawn in.

I honestly do not understand why it has to end. The actors involved aren't killing it in movies or anything at all so it certainly could drag on easily.

It was too expensive to shoot in Florida.

Thank the state of Florida. Series was worthy of additional seasons.

Hopefully anyone who clicks on this thread expects

***SPOILER TALK***

Yeah, I thought S3 was entertaining but not stellar, until E7 (the trial) and it looked like it was going to catch fire.

Then some supernatural overtones, and it looked like it was taking a turn toward a psychological thriller, i.e., did John just imagine some or all of it?

And wtf was all the buildup with Ozzy, then we never saw him again.

I really enjoyed the entire thing, love the characters, great writing, but the end was just a thud. I want to like how it ended more than I actually do.

I was waiting for a big twist or two, or some revelation to tie it all together (e.g., for a minute it looked like they were going to imply that John was Roy Gilbert's kid), but it all just kind of fizzled.

Pretty sure that second to last show in all 3 seasons was a dream/unconscious show from john's view of paranoia, happy, fearful, worried, wishful, wondering point of view that is just a mind twist as to which is anything relevant........they did great in season 2 with that show to tie some things together. In season 3 it didn't work as smooth.

Yeah, you can delete all of Ozzy's scenes this season and nothing changes. He just pops up occasionally and starts rambling on to people and then he shoots himself. Okay...

We still never found out why the shower in Bungalow 3 never worked. I thought all the Rayburns probably belonged to Gilbert, especially dumbass Kevin

I think the loose ends were due to the need to wrap everything up abruptly in the third season. This series had a massive foundation but then they could only build a single-wide trailer on top of it.

It was like trying to cram Les Miserables into a two-hour movie.

There's some validity to that premise, but it seemed like they moved S3 along so slowly that they could have fit a lot more into it.

Like the comment above with Ozzy - nobody would have noticed if we had never seen him again; so why spend time spinning wheels with him on a story that went nowhere?

Best thing I've read about it:

http://collider.com/bloodline-finale-explained/#images

Despite having the opportunity to end Bloodline’s story in any kind of way that might be satisfactory to viewers, the final two episodes of the series felt like someone was sweeping up in the writers room and decided to conclude the show with scraps of ideas from the floor.

Yeah, the third season started off promising, but ended horribly. What a waste of time.

Thoughts on the ending:

John: Dude confesses and Hispanic Sheriff guy wants none of it. John is alone and no wife to love him and will face off in a staring contest with Danny's spawn for all eternity.

Kevin: What an idiot. God I'm glad he got caught, was hoping the Cubans would cut his head off or something...that would have been better.

Meg: What a bizarre storyline. It's almost like the actress had other obligations as she was almost written out of the show for most of season 3. Not that I'm complaining as she was a bit annoying but still.

Overall, disappointing ending. The season was good enough until the last 3 episodes. Then it fizzled.

The sheriff's reaction to John's confession seemed odd to me. Even going back to past seasons, he seemed suspicious of John and knew something didn't quite add up. Then John confesses and he's like "Eh, don't worry about it".

I read that Cardellini's availability wasn't an issue. The way Meg was handled was the writers' decision.

^ Think the Sheriff wanted to move on with his life. If he had brought John in, that would delay (possibly) his move to the private sector.

Cases were closed at that point - far as he was concerned - and it was time to move on.

The Chelsea O' Bannon character tickles me in just the right spot. I think she is hot and would be a thrill ride in the sac. I don't care what you say about that. Maybe I just have a thing for Chloe Sevigny ever since seeing her full frontal pics and seeing her on her knees with that guy and swallow the salty mikshake in . " The Brown Bunny". That scene does it for me man. It was real to, the guy was her real life boyfriend. Ooozing Sexuality.

Series was originally planned to go 6 to 7 seasons. Florida pulling the tax incentives made the show too costly to produce. Episodes 9 and 10 were a terrible way to end this show.

Danny and Eric Obannon made the show. Danny was awesome and I knew I liked Eric ever since he was sitting on top of a washer on the front porch of his place drinking a beer. The last episodes sucked but I liked it overall.

I thought Kyle chandler was pretty brilliant throughout the series as well

I must be in the minority, Bc I thought the last few episodes were good.

Danny was a great character, John was probably runner up but truth be told, very few of the characters were very likable at all...Kevin is brain dead, meg is a ***** and mother Rayburn was crazy and mean as a snake

I liked Kevin at first , but especially by the 2nd season I'm like "dude you're an idiot and ruined this for everyone " lol

I did think all the actors were awesome, excellent directing , writing etc .

And again, kycle chandlwr deserves an Emmy for season 2 imo !
