Who else ? I was a country guy up until about 18 months ago , always listened to Sirius XM Ch 56 I believe .. The Highway .. but they started playing the horrible crap that not only wasnt country but it wasnt good. The went to hades quick IMO .. So I'd never listened to any bluegrass and decided I'd listen on my way to work . Now I'm in love , to me , much of it sounds like traditional country with some banjo mixed in . I listen to Bluegrass junction Ch 62 I believe. My favs are Lonesome River band , Steeldrivers , Blue moon rising, Bobby Osborne . Any Ky acts I should check out ?

Darin and Brooke Aldridge are my favorite right now....the girl has a voice unlike anything I’ve ever heard. Great songwriting too!

Progressive Bluegrass. Seen Yonder Mtn and Greensky about 4 times each.
Don’t know what String Cheese falls in but seen then a few times.
Bela Fleck is a damn maestro on the banjo.
Seen a handful of others that opened but none made an impression

Greensky has a really unique vocal guy . I have couple songs of theirs on my phone . " Past my Prime"

Got online and was looking to see where Lonesome River might be playing and much to my surprise they are playing Sunday night 30min from my home in Piketon Oh at a rather large bluegrass festival , a new one called " SamJam" started around 2015. .. has a stellar lineup of the largest names in bluegrass .

I'll have to check it out

I've had to miss the last 2 years. But I've seen Sam Bush, SteelDrivers, Ricky Skaggs, John Prine, Old Crow medicine Show, Punch Brothers, Noam Pikenly, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Marty Stuart, Del McCoury, Leftover Salmon, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Yonder Mountain String Band, and a ton of others. Allison Krauss was the headliner this year. And in 2011 it was Emylou Harris and Steve Martin

Kevin Denny. Had a couple of successful country songs in the early 2000’s. Then the modern county fad started. I guess he was just too traditional. Last I heard he was doing a lot of writing and playing a bit of bluegrass.

Really nice guy as well.

If we’re talking super groups...Old and in the Way had to be one of the best. Wish they had done more stuff together.

I'm more old school Bluegrass, so I listen to Ralph Stanley mostly, he's great with any front man he's had. I really liked him with Keith Whitley.

Osborne Brothers are really good, Rhonda Vincent and Alison Krauss are worth a listen also.
