Me too. My wife is 5'8". I have a daughter 5'11". I'm 6'3" if I haven't shrunk in my old age.

Serious question. Did Charlie Strong play college ball and what position? He has to be the shortest head coach in history. He would make fitty look like a midget though..............:)

He says he is 5'7, he sure doesn't look it. I am 6'1, and in my family I am short. No sisters, 3 brothers.

Now it's been a long time ago, but I remember the first time (and only) time I shook hands with Tom Landry. He spoke at an FCA meeting in my high school. Our high school coach, John Clark, had stature like few men I've ever met. And Tom always looked pretty short compared to the huge guys next to him on the sidelines whose cleats and helmets made him look even shorter. He was 6-1. When I saw him standing next to Coach Clark, I remember being really surprised that they were nearly the same height.

Maybe I've just gotten used to seeing it, but I'd never have guessed that Petrino was only 5'8. He can certainly coach, personal habits not withstanding. I'd be even more surprised if he was shorter than that.

I couldn't find anywhere online that listed his height. It's not in his official Louisville site bio.

As for consideration, he is slightly below the American average of 5'9, so I wouldn't consider him short.
