I'm going with at Louisville. Not only do I hate all things the 'Ville' but you have to believe our team is tired of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. I see this Cat team shocking the Cards by 14 with a 2nd half explosion. What you got?

Add in another vote for Georgia. I don't see us beating Louisville this season, hope I'm wrong though.

I think we are going to be MUCH improved offensively.
Might be able to catch them early before teams get a lot of film on us
Also, they won't be a prolific offensive team, which bodes well for our D to not get ran thru

Florida's "D" will be one of the best in the SEC and the country. Doubtful on that one.

UofL will also have a stout "D" BUT they are a one trick pony on Offense. If Jackson is shut down or not playing, we beat the Birds

I think we beat Georgia this year!

Not out of the question, we are going to be extremely young on the defensive front this year, 5 of the top 6 will be true soph and frosh as could 2 of the LB. If the guy from grad transfer from Bama starts we will have 2 Sr starting on D. On the other side if Lambert starts we will have 3 sr starting, I don't think he will be starting. Add the youth, new coaching staff and big question marks at WR and QB we are very likely going to have some issues on offense. But people who have watched practice said the defense is on a different level than in the past, whatever that means. But in 17 beating us will become a not so easy task with 9 starters returning on each side of the ball, maybe 10 on defense and only a couple of them will be Jr this fall.

I say Georgia.

I would like to say UL, but after watching us give the game away the last 2 seasons.....

Re UGA I'd remind all that UK hasn't been competitive with them AT ALL in recent years. They've totally dominated.

If I picked an upset it'd probably be UL but UK's a decided dog to them on early lines. Hell, with so many losing streaks to work on I'd be satisfied beating Miss St and Vandy.

Miss. State, at home and they lost more starters than any other SEC team. Don't forget they do not have Dak anymore ether. Surprised to see so many people pick Georiga.

I'm 27 so it would be nice to see UK beat Florida, you know being 27 I should know what it's like to have a win or two over a team UK plays on an annual basis but whatever.

I would like it to be Florida to end the streak but I think UGA is the most likely candidate due to a scheduling advantage that favors Kentucky. Hey maybe we get em both :)

There are 5 teams on the schedule that would qualify as a big upset (@AL, @FL, @TN, GA and @UofL). Of the 3 pre-season "Power Rankings" (ESPN, Bill Connolly and Phil Steel's +/- ranking) the most likely upset victim would be GA (Steel, Connolly) and FL (ESPN). FWIW, Steel is the only guy projecting a less than 10 point margin in any of those games.

Peace

Is there a place where I can check all the positive above?

From a talent perspective, UL is the easiest putt. I'd also say it's to our advantage (as it has been the last two years) that they play a quality opponent the week prior (this year it's Houston).

From a schedule perspective, it's Georgia. They're young, getting mixed reviews, and the game with us in CWS is sandwiched between the Florida and Auburn games (definition of a sandwich game).

The right answer might be FLA. I"m not dumb enough to predict a win, especially in the swamp. But, i'm really not impressed with what i'm seeing and hearing out of gainesville. This could be a 6-6 gators team.

South Carolina or USM. And that's just being honest I don't think we're good enough to beat any good teams we're 5-14 in our last 19 games with ZERO wins over teams with winning records with our best win (by record) being a miracle 4th qrtr comeback OT win vs EKU at home.

I say UF. But I say that every year since I moved back from that hell hole years ago. Their fans are the worst.

Well we know at UF/UL/Bama/UT will be losses for sure
so how about at home against Miss St? They had our
number and we gotta win that one if we are to go blowing.

Considering the point spreads for these games it's literally considered an upset I don't see how it could be any more of an upset you're crazy.

an upset is when the underdog beats the favorite. UK is favored by 7 in the opener right not, so unless the opening line on USM moves 8 points which I have never seen before we will be the favorite. We don't know about USCe yet but since it's at CWS it's most likely going to be UK favored there as well, but yea you could predict that as an upset if you wanted to, even thought that probably won't be possible.

To all Cards fans and resident pessimists: I'll judge what passes for a "Big Upset" 11 games from now. Because it is early, I answer for now with @Gators. Those of you picking Vandy need to just quit, and follow something else.

You're talking to a guy that thinks Andre Iguodolla signed with UK it's hopeless. He posts like he's 13 so I wonder if he was even alive when Iguodolla played college basketball

We'll be favored in both games (currently favored by 6.5 over USM). Those are not upsets.

Others have already pointed out the ignorance....can you explain how we are crazy for acknowledging we are favored in those games but if we win its an upset?

I...WE...would really love to see you explain this?

We understand you are a troll...but please share troll speak.

I would like to see a win over UGA. It would be a step in the right direction for a bowl trip.

I would love for us to be undefeated at home. GA game could be similar to Auburn where maybe they aren't as good as people thought. And how well our run defense is by that point. Other home games I'd give us a better than 50% chance of winning all of them.

It's amazing that the trolls posts haven't been deleted yet. He wants to talk about delusional, yet the clowns over on the UL board are talking playoffs. I **** you not. LOL.

I keep saying we are going to be very young defensively this year, will only have 1, maybe 2 starters depending on who wins out at a db spot. The front 3 will have 1 Jr, 2 soph and 3 frosh in the 2 deep rotation, all about 6'4-5" in the 310 range, 2 soph ILB and 2 Jr OLB. We will likely struggle early in the year, but will be very fast and aggressive. Offense we should have a fairly good OL, a great group of TE and RB, Chubb looks to be 100% even after being tackled in the scrimmage, MIchel is playing with a cast on his arm and Holyfield looks like Chubb. WR is a huge qb as is QB, we don't know who any of those are going to be yet. So we may not be very good this year, I don't think we will be USC bad but who knows. Now next year returning 18 starters, we will be a pretty good team and expectations will be much greater. We could be pretty good by the end of the season barring injuries to key players. But as of right now, we have a ton of question marks heading into the season, some will be answered Saturday in the last big scrimmage of pre season. Hopefully we have a qb named and some WRs named.
