These are deep thoughts, Bob! Dang. What a deep question!!I would take Boo all day. So why is Pat on an NBA roster and Boo not?
Different skill set. His present team needed what he has to offer and Boo's did notI would take Boo all day. So why is Pat on an NBA roster and Boo not?
Also, this is a bit of a platitude but Spencer is one of the most intense athletes I've ever seen. It's not a knock on Boo by any means, I just think that having that dawg in you matters, especially defensively. FOs love that. He's kind of an old school PG -- great assist and rebound rates, physical defense, ability to drive and dish... and bad from 3. Tall order, but if he can get his 3pt shooting into the mid 30s, he will be very valuable.Honestly, it depends on what you want/need.
Boo is a great ball handler, passer, and scorer with pretty solid court vision and below par defense, but in the NBA he's comparatively a little small and a little slow.
Pat isn't much taller, but he's a lot more physical, is a better defender, and also has great court vision. His outside shooting is pretty suspect tho.
They both have that necessary killer instinct and will to win.
I'd probably take Boo and get him set up with a dedicated defensive specialist. But I'd be happy to have Pat on my team as well.
I’m disappointed Pat is still unsigned this year. I think he deserves at the least a two way with a NBA team. Also, this is a bit of a platitude but Spencer is one of the most intense athletes I've ever seen.
