Booker to heat up in post season

I have a great feeling that Booker will turn it back on for this post season run. Our post players have really come along after he cooled off. If he can heat back up, there's not much anyone can do to stop us.

I ran some numbers a while back and Devin shot nearly 60% from 3 over a 13 game stretch. Then, it was like the switch got turned off, and over the next 13 games he was a pedestrian 32%.

Looking at his game log he has only shot 50% or better from 3pt range in 3 of the last 10 games.


The good news is that Devin is a multi-faceted player. So if his long ball isn't falling, then he can still make a positive impact on the game from drives, getting to the free-throw line, assists, and defense. Still, it would be spectacular to have the mid-season Devin back.

Defenses are sticking to Booker a lot more closely now, too.

True, but he has missed a lot of shots he usually hits. He doesn't take contested 3's and for the most part his average has come down.

He's still shooting an elite 43%. I get that its been dipping for weeks, but he was hitting it at a clip that was not sustainable.

Given that defenses are staying with Booker I would like to see him feeding the post from three point line close to the baseline . Once he feeds it he needs to slide if he man looks to doubke or follows the ball , he might shake free that way . If he doesn't leave Booker then they will have to double from farther away if our guys are spaced properly , if nothing else you probably get isolation on the block . At any rate I'm not concerned about Booker shooting , he will be fine .
