I think you are right.
I also got the feeling early on in the season that Bookie was gone. If you read his land of 10 weekly report he did not seam overly enthusiastic about Nebraska. He kept talking about taking all of his visits and I feel he started to waver once he went to IMG. I think he would have decommitted even if we would have finished say 9-3, imo.

I think that ship has sailed, imo. But who knows, he could come in and get immediate playing time that is for sure.
Doesn't matter if he comes in and starts. Need a different DB coach. I don't believe they have been coached very well the past five years. Need consistency in coaching. New coaches every year just doesn't cut it.

If believe the rumors, Bray and Parrella are the two who will held over from the current staff. Would have much rather seen the two Williams guys since both are great recruiters and good coaches.

If DW is retained, we have a very, very good shot with Bookie. He was 100% committed until it became apparent this staff would not be around.

I think Bookie is a great and high class individual. My issue with him is he seems to never stay in one place for any length of time. Those things are red flags to me, but his ability sure does seem to outweigh those flags at times. I would proceed with caution.

With the coaching changes that have just transpired, there most likely be a number of players from other schools "looking"
