Which power five team that did not go bowling this year, had the best recruiting haul today? The Cats have to be at the top of that list. Also just curious if any one has thought about this. Seems like we came away with a really solid class which I hope translates into a bowl game for next season.

As would USC, Jr

When we beat top ten USC in 10 (Joker, you remember him?) they had 38 four star and one five star commits in the previous four years, we had two JC four stars playing. Spurrier was a pretty good coach (made a bad decision that game) but personally I wouldn't consider letting a son of mine near Muschamp, after watching him bite one of his players head off on the sideline------almost literally. Florida had great talent when he was there compared to UK , and most other programs. I don't think he is a good HC. USC finished just three spots ahead of UK at 26th, quite a bit of the talent gap has been closed up since we beat them in 10, and we have beat them since then.

Texas is in Texas (they had 45 four stars and a couple five stars when I checked in 2010, the year the state of Kentucky had ZERO four stars in state)-------they used to get ALL the best talent in state, not any more. But their class does include EIGHTEEN from in state, including EIGHT of their four stars. Only five from OOS, four from adjacent Louisiana (LSU the only major team and they can't take them all) and one from California. Personally I don't think Strong will hack it there, they had better talent than this class when he got there, and look at his record. Very spotty.

UK ended up tenth in recruiting in the SEC which had five of the top ten, USC won't run over us if our coaches can coach, and I think we are improving there, from experience AND new changes. I'm not sure what happened to MSU, they were 26th and dropped to 36th since early yesterday, all per Rivals. But they are still ahead of mighty UL, which could beat most SEC teams if they played them on a regular basis according to their fans. BP did add two 5.4s and two 5.2s at the last minute, along with an unrated WR from California, I suppose those are for his tryouts, you can always run them off if they don't shine.

Bama added THREE five stars and the list I just looked at showed them as number one-----again, or still? Two of them were the five star in state LBs which caused them to kick their 5.7 LB commit to a grayshirt so he decommitted, (long thread on here) and also added a five star in state DE.
