I feel like Duke is the better team. But an EE matchup against Kentucky is a setup for a storybook game for Kentucky. They would love nothing more than redemption for the first game of the season. Would be a really intense game.

It would be a much better contest. Duke would win IMO, but it would take some work.

Like always, I'm sure the committee will find a way to have MSU in our bracket.....which I'm cool with this year, don't think they are very talented.

I'm completely fine with UK as our 2, provided that game isn't in Louisville....

Can we get Kansas as our 2?? Owe them a brutal beatdown.

After you said that, I looked - South Regional semis and finals are in Louisville, KY. Would not love it if it shook out that way. Much rather be in the East and play in DC.

I actually think UK will wind up as a 1-seed in the long run. I see Tennessee being a 2- or 3-seed. I just think they're going to run into a few hiccups over the course of a few weeks eventually. It seems as though they should have a few more losses than they do right now.

If you believe in jinxes, don't read this post.

I see at most 2 more losses in ACC play: UVA and one game with UNC. I think more realistic is 1 loss, which would guarantee us a 1 seed.

I think this team has a lot of upside remaining, because the things we're great at - Defense and 2P% - are pretty stable, while the things we need to improve - shot selection, turnovers, 3P%, getting guys like Cam, AOC, and Jack to play better - are things more in our control and I think, more likely to improve.

Haven't been this confident in a Duke team since the beginning of the 2010-11 season, before Kyrie went down.

Oh yeah, I see 2 more losses coming as well. If it’s just to UVA/UNC, we should be 27-4 heading into the ACC Tournament and still a good shot at a 1-seed.

As of now, all of Duke’s current losses are to teams expecting to be in the tournament as well. So, no bad losses.

I dont get how Maryland would get a 5 seed in washington dc when you could literally place them in any other region to avoid a potential road game in the sweet 16. I think uk is going to overtake tenn and end up as the 1 in the south

I dont see us losing to unc this year with the way we guard the three ball and with how poor their defense is. Can they win sure its a rivalry but i actually think at vtech is a tougher game for us matchup wise

True. @UL, @UVA, @VT, @UNC

If we can go 2-2 against those ranked teams on the road, I’m good!

I hate to say it but Cal has UK straight. They are playing good basketball.

Lol. Yeah, I dislike UK even more than UNC, and I thought a few weeks ago that was a S16 team at best. They're looking really good, so while I think we'd beat them if we played again, I prefer someone else do that for us.

KU a 3 and UNC a 2 in the MW. I would love to see that S16 matchup if DeSpusa is back for KU. That way Roy can bust out his Jayhawks sticker for the E8.

I like where Duke is at in the East. KY has gotten better but not better than Duke.

I would love to beat uk and the zags.
If we were to play uk, I don't believe it's anywhere even close to the 34 point *** whipping we gave them the first time, but I believe it's still a double digit win.

Think UK will either be the 4th #1 seed behind Duke, UVA, and Zags or the top #2 seed. Don’t see how either gets them into our bracket. Would love to get Kansas as our 2 seed but am thinking it will be either MSU/ Michigan/ Purdue with MSU/UM most likely.

I'm more worried about the ACCT. That format is tough for frosh to deal with, and is, imo, the most difficult part of the transition to college. Like Maui, the ACCT is back-to-back over three games. In College, all three of those games are fairly tough. The last two are likely to be incredibly tough. Sure, some HS and AAU tournies feature this format. But often there is huge talent disparities, as well as the general awfulness of defense at that level. Learning to play hard, and smart, for three straight games, vs opponents who are also talented, skilled, and motivated, is tough. The 2015 title team had trouble with it, and looked pretty bad in our loss in the ACCT. I'd love to think that the Maui tournament got our guys ready, but often it takes time and experience to learn what it takes to excel over three straight games.
