Latest projection has UK # 4 National seed, hosting Michigan #2, Mercer #3, and Tenn. Tech #4 in the Lexington regional.
Oregon State still # 1 overall seed, followed by Louisville # 2, UNC # 3, then UK. Interesting that as the # 4 Nat'l seed, we would host # 13 seed in Super Regional, which is the winner of the Arizona regional.

I think the D1Baseball projection usually comes out on Wednesdays, right?

Getting Indiana as a 2 seed in our bracket and Washington as our 3 would be a dream scenario. The alternatives could be FSU, West Virginia, Texas, and others. I like it.

I also don't mind Virginia in the supers. At that point, it's going to be a tough team, and I'd rather be paired with them over an SEC team or Stanford / Arizona.

Also, I'm hoping that the committee sticks Vandy or A&M in Louisville as the 2 seed there. Would be a tough out for the Tards.

How about I put it this way... D1Baseball released their Field of 64 Projection and they have Indiana as our 2 seed along with Washington and Tennessee Tech. We are the #4 National Seed.
I saw that...they have played a very tough schedule and could be a handful next week.

How the heck do you have us ranked 6th in the country but project us as the 3rd national seed? I can understand being kind of close like 4 or 5, but 6 to 3 is kind of a big jump.

Their logic is that they will create a field that mirrors what they think the committee will do. So, UK has a great RPI, is leading the toughest conference, has great series wins (Ole Miss, Candy, A&M, LSU, and South Carolina), some good OOC wins (UL, UCSB), a strong OOC schedule (UL, UNC, UCSB, Indiana)...all of the criteria that the committee likes.

I get the logic...they might think we're the 5th or 6th best team, but they think the committee will seed us higher than that based on results to-date.
