I've watched college basketball and MLB my entire life and I've watched the Super Bowl every year since the Bengals lost to San Fransisco in '89, but I've only followed the NFL since around 2008, when I was introduced to Fantasy Football. It was a good time to start, because I've been fortunate to witness one of the greatest eras that any sport (not just football) has ever had. That era's quickly winding down, though (an astounding amount of talent's retired from the league over the past few years and the next few are going to see even more), and I'm going to miss it. :/

I'm sorry, I know I hate TB12, but this feels like a Coach K move. Yeah let's go play catch with you and your family after I just moved onto the NFC Championship game.

Brady had trouble even shaking hands with QBs after games this season, 0.0% chance this hallmark moment happens if Brees won.

Brady won, and this moment did happen. So I guess we'll never know if your butt hurt hypothetical would ever transpire.

Come on. I’m not a Brady fan myself, but this isn’t at all similar to coach K. These guys have competed against each other for 20 years. He’s retiring and Tom did that out of respect. Period.

First of all, you aren't sorry.

And second, I actually remember that on no less than a dozen occasions you have informed us in numerous threads that the Pats success was all Belichick.

Any second thoughts on that premise?

You may be right, but it could be similar to Coach K going into another team's locker room to heap praise on a team he just beat. I actually think there's a lot more similarities between those two.

I just don't think Brady sticks around had he lost.

It's a way to say "I know I'm biased". Of course I'm not sorry that I hate Brady and the Pats.

I am impressed with his play in the playoffs. But no, during the regular season, Tampa beat Green Bay and that's about it. I was waiting to see more. He joined possibly the BEST roster-witout-a-QB. But, I said "If he could beat the Saints, I'll give him some props" and he did. His decision making and IQ are 2nd to none and that's why he is where is he.

Still think Bill B is the bigger of the two, and don't bring up this current Pats roster that Brady was smart enough to bail on. 60% Bill 40% Brady in my eyes.

I'm kinda just messing with you. I think Belichick is an amazing football coach, but I have been amused for a while at your Tom Brady hate. You have produced paragraph after paragraph of Tom Brady criticisms for years.

And again, I'm sure much of it is biased. As you may know, I'm a Jets fan who is basically living in Pats country (Upstate NY has more Pats fans than all but the Giants), and had to deal with the Pats dominance for 20+ years. It's kind of like how crazed Kentucky fans get about Louisville, but what's funny to me, is that we've OWNED Louisville... imagine what Kentucky fans would be like if Louisville had the dominance over us like the Pats have had.

But yes, I have bumped up my respect for Brady, in regards to his talents. He's able to do this with a new team, in his 40's, and he's moving onto the NFC title game.. hard to fault his abilities right now, I figured he was going off a cliff.

Watch for that post-game handshake, though, if Green Bay were to win.. ;)
