Ok fellas. We fought really hard last night, but lost to a team that played really well. It stinks losing to Carolina, it really stinks to lose twice to them. With that being said let’s close the book on the regular season.

Starting this morning we open a new book, the post-season. Step 1, get Zion back. Keep in mind nobody in the country gets to add the NPOY back into their rotation, we do. It starts Thursday, one game at a time. We are 9 wins away from cutting down 2 very important nets. It’s banner season fellas, let’s go get #6.

Good post- hopefully it can stay on track and positive.

It would be easy to be beat down and pessimistic moving forward, but it appears K is feeling great about his chances. I think K was prepared to lose the battle and win the war after Zion went down. As you mention- we have the greatest coach sitting with the ultimate trump card. Can’t ask for much more I guess.

IF we get Z back, beat UNC on Friday, these two losses will never be talked about again. The momentum is with UNC for now, that can change very quickly.

As I said- looking at Zion walk off the court last night was encouraging as all get out. What a GD BEAST

1 game at a time from here on out

All things considered, it was a pretty damn good regular season. I notice some folks’ confidence is shaken. I get it but just consider how good this team is when all four freshman are healthy, and also on a neutral floor. If you can’t remember, you will be reminded soon enough. Hang in there.

It has seemingly been one obstacle after another for this team - only 9 of 18 ACC games with full roster, get Z back but lose Bolden, etc. Hopefully that has steeled them for the pressure cooker that is the NCAA Tournament.

Not gonna lie...I thought this season was gonna be one of those "dream seasons." A lot like 99, where we only lose 2-3 games. And we wouldn't just be beating teams, we would be dismantling them by 25+ a night. Couldn't have started off better going all the way back to the UK game.....

What's weird is I feel like that season still could have happened. It didn't because we only had a fully healthy team for 9 of 18 ACC games.

I think it still can be a dream season. We can’t see it or feel it right now but the possibility remains. If we go 9-0 this team will still be in the conversation as possibly the best Duke team ever. Keep in mind we’ve only lost once fully healthy. People are probably tired of hearing that and to be honest I’m tired of saying it, feels hollow, feels like an excuse. But it means a whole lot more if we finish our business.

The new season does start Thursday and I sure hope it contains Zion playing as is widely thought. The only shadow now is Bolden being hurt. If he is unable to go, which I don't see how he could if the reports are true about his injury. It becomes more important for Javin to continue to play like he did last night. The way last night's game was called Javin was able to stay out of foul trouble but some games coming up will be called much tighter and the foul issues will be back. Zion will be that third scorer, but we will not have Bolden as a rim protecter, so Javin will have to stay out of foul trouble. Let's just hope Zion is back to being Zion and please no more injuries!!!

I am interested to see how Zion looks having been off for almost 4 weeks. Hopefully we can get him into game shape quick.

Armchair coach here. I would play him 15 minutes in the first game, 20 in the second, 25 in the 3rd and then go up to 30 for the NCAA's. Considering how cautious they have been I highly doubt Zion gets big minutes right away. But even 20 minutes of Zion could make a big difference.

20 minutes against Fluke Maybelline Maye is a huge difference.

I still think this team is better than 2015 when clicking. Just want another crack at UNC. I really don’t want them to lose on Thursday. I think the UNC game on Friday is going to be for the final 1 seed (and Saturday for the #1 overall seed)

Before the season started I predicted that we’d end up at 37-3 or 36-4 and would win the regular season ACC Championship, the ACC Tournament and the NCAA Tournament. I was wrong about our record and winning the ACC regular season but I still believe that we’ll win the ACC Tournament and the NCAA Tournament.

If we do the you won't be far off. 35-5 is pretty freaking great anyway.

If this is a new season, the one that just ended may be the most disappointing one I've experienced in a long, long time. The most exciting, unique player in college basketball in years and we go 3-3 w/o him, including being swept by UNC for the first time in a decade.

Nothing short of #6 can make up for it for me.

I’m not disappointed in the results that showed up on the scoreboard and in the standings, I’m disappointed in the things we couldn’t control, injuries. I think our kids fought hard and through a lot of adversity. But I share your disappointment as we could have all enjoyed a pretty special regular season if only....

But that is the point of the thread. We as fans need to close that book because it appears we will be near full strength (minus Ques) come Thursday. And if we let the unfortunate events that led up to this point control our emotions we may miss out on the most important story about to begin.

Yeah, I'll rally. Right now the sweep w/o Zion has me really bitter.

Oh yeah I'm in for Wed-Sat! Can't believe I purchased day session tixx for $12. Not telling the wife how much Duke sessions cost!

I saw the price for every session but ours and was pretty ticked haha why can’t we get a normal price!
