Our biggest problem this year is these three are not SEC quality players. We are forced to play them way too many minutes because it’s all we have. The three of them cannot guard a paper bag. They cannot create their own office. I give the freshman a pass because they’re freshman. Those three are seniors and hopefully this is the last year we deal with subpar talent at multiple positions.

Won a lot of games this year with these "Scrubs."

I do think we need to get more athletic but can't hate on a team put together in 3 months.
Oh, I’m not hating on what Pope had to do. I understand that he had to take what he could get. I’m just pointing out the fact that I think that those three players are part of our biggest problem.

All good... today has been disappointing but I can't get terribly mad getting boat raced by the #1 team in the country.

Pearl is a hell of a coach and was on my short list. UK should have considered him but I do like what Pope is doing he just needs a another year or two to get his guys.

Will agree & Grea is the most over rated of the 3
Can't create a shot, or defend

Brea is a really good player. He just isn't a first option guy. Carr is a fine rotational piece and is playing hurt. Ansley is the only one that makes any sense in your post and he is just a role player.

I mean Brea has 21 as of now against the number one team in the country. Saying he’s not SEC caliber is not accurate.
Yeah. I mean, we are quite average overall in the SEC. Sort of by definition our average player is the average SEC player.

We don’t have a player or two who puts us over the top. Do we have anybody on this team as good as Shep? Or even Antonio Reeves?

Jaxson Robinson was playing quite well in the games leading up to his injury, but he had his fair share of debacles.

Antonio reeves can efficiently give us 20 points every night, can create his own offence, and is almost 100% in fast break just by feeling

Hell yeah. Too bad our guys don’t all score twenty in the first half and players with no more eligibility don’t jump in and save the day. WTF are these day drunk comments?

He wasn’t that clutch in his first year here. 5 points vs. K-State in NCAA tourney loss. That ring a bell?

Didn’t Brea score 25 vs #3 Florida?

True, but Reeves was AA level player in his second year, his first year was inconsistent

We do not have any player in current team on his second year's caliber.

Pearl has built a championship caliber team over multiple years and Pope built a S16+ caliber team over multiple weeks. They’re either trolls or the real village idiots.
Pearl performed like garbage after his final 4, and this year is the best team he has ever assembled.

Last year they were screwed by yale, yale even did not have sport scholarship for players...

Have you ever watched him play defense? He can not guard, his man is always wide open.

It’s true. He’s a specialist that’s been forced to cover for Jax because of his injury. Can’t expect him to be something he isn’t and never has been. It just doesn’t work like that no matter how much we want it to.

I think we have one of the best transfer classes in cbb. There have been a lot of transfers on other teams that have underperformed more than ours. No matter what happens from here this team is way better then I thought they’d be.

Our Kentucky boys got totally punked by strong, athletic players today who could score at will. If they get major minutes next year, we'll have the same good but not great record.
Or they could get serious about their bodies and hit the damn gymn in the offseason, and come in next season ready to get physical and take care of business.

And that's a solid point. Our three first year players are not what we had become used to with the one and done guys. If they get serious about physically developing, they could end up pretty good.

And just to throw in, Carr had 20 against the number one team in the country. I think that's pretty solid.
