I am glad he understands, accepts and openly expects #9. Let’s hope he and the others don’t shy away from striving to be the best.

One of the things all the greats had is confidence and belief in self. Not equating Brea to these guys, but Michael, Larry and Magic expected to win. It was part of their DNA and what made them great. It is also part of what makes KY great, an expectation to win, not just put players in the NBA.

Weird rumor, if true. They don't even play the same position. Brea at the 2. Robinson at the 3.
I figure it’s the other way around, at least defensively, based on their physiques.

Robinson- 6’6, 197.
Brea- 6’6, 205.

Same height and Brea is almost 10 pounds heavier, which for an athlete usually means more muscle.

But it’s kind of a moot point in college ball, since the 2 and 3 are interchangeable in most systems. Both are wing scoring positions.

Do you remember what erik reynolds did to us last year in our overtime win against saint josephs? 28 points. I'm thinking that if either Oweh or Robinson faced us last year either could have had a Reynolds type game. Because our defense couldn't hold Reynolds and they would not be able to hold Robinson or Oweh and maybe even Kriisa.

Been watching more videos of Oweh. This could be his year to shine.

I remember when Nerlens Noel made the same #9 claim the summer before that season.

We have several scorer's. If we finally have a team that can play better defense, should be a fun year.
Defense, especially any type of zone, usually takes some Tim to hone. But, with this team’s experience, I am hopeful it will develop quickly.

If he
I'm big time hyped on Brea. 6'6 (or more) and an absolute assasing from deep? I see him leading us in scoring.
If he can maintain anything similar to last year I'm good with 10 attempts from 3 a game plus anything else he can scrounge up for us.

Keep shooting!

Brea and Robinson are two wing sized buckets. We have a lot of size and experience. If all the guys buy into defense to go along with the ones we know are dogs, look out.

Brea is a terrible defender. He will not guard a 3. He is a 2 and 3 if foul trouble but I would expect Almonor to play the 4 and 3.

Brea will need to defend if he wants to play in the NBA. Is it a lack or effort or lateral quickness or what?
Would say with these guys that can get free on offense to score, it is an effort thing. If he can open his stance to run around and through screens and such to shoot a 3 then technically he should be able to do the same on defense. At least keep a guy in check. He was lost a bunch last year and some say was the worst defender on that squad.

Oweh has a nice pedigree too, knows what it takes to be a pro. His brother Odafe plays for the Ravens, first round pick in the 2021 Draft.

Oweh is a guy I expect to make a big jump as well. I think he is just one of those guys who can assert his presence physically.
