Anybody else think of going to the breeders cup before the Tennessee game? I'm coming in from out of town and gonna try it. Will be a wild day

Do you have tickets? Saturday and Sunday are sold out of everything. Only Friday GA is left at $40 per person.

negative but I'll be able to get football tickets fairly easy and Friday there's still BC tickets available. Saturday for the breeders cup is sold out but I'm optimistic

Family and friends still live in Lexington, I got that covered. My dad told me he expects that Saturday to be a mad house which I imagine it will be, but Breeders Cup at Keeneland is too good to pass up

Saturday Tickets went in like 20 minutes. We had a group of 8 people all logging in trying to get tickets for Friday, Saturday and Parking Passes. None of us were able to get Saturday Club seats, which are already going for a huge price now.

Might want to lock up an Air Bnb too, because hotels are probably booked. The nice thing is that UT Fans will not have a place to stay, and I am guessing it will be night game.

yeah hotels in Lexington are going for $400+ a night that week. And most have minimum night restrictions.

I got a place to stay and I'll figure it out with tickets just wondering if anybody else is planning on the BC/Commonwealth split

I'll be at both (hopefully). I have 4 tickets to both the breeder's cup and the football game. Going to be interesting how they will take care of the logistics since you can't park at Keeneland without a pass and a night game won't start too long after the conclusion of the race.

Thought the races were in prime time again this year? Wasn't the reason for the need for temporary lights? Last year, the Classic didn't start until 8:35PM.

what's the latest time slot a game has started at commonwealth without a delay? I assume it'll be 7 but an 8pm kickoff would be a lot better

Looking at the breeder's cup website, there's a banner that states "Breeders Cup Saturday 1 PM" and "Breeders Cup Classic 4 PM". I'd love for that to be the case.

Edit: Once I read more, it appears this is what it's looking like with TV coverage from 4-6.

Yeah, appears you're correct. I just thought they had a big push a few years ago to get the bigger races on during prime time, but guess that's not the case this year.

If anybody does come by and extra ticket though feel free to let me know. Lexington in the fall is as good as it gets. Coming back for the Thursday night game vs auburn looking to hit big blue madness, keeneland fall meet, the whole 9 yards. cant wait

The only way I could see it being feasible at all would be a noon kickoff. Last year the Classic was at 8:35 Eastern but it was held at Santa Anita so it was 5:30 there. Logistics would be an absolute disaster since Keeneland is bad at about 30,000 people and they'll have between 55 and 60. I would never post this on the football board because I'd be called not a fan but I wish the teams could put in a request for a weekend without a home game. It would be nice to be able to do both but just not feasible.

Last year, Saturday's first race had a post time of 10:15 AM (local) and the Classic had a post time of 5:35 PM (local).

Timing like that would be great, assuming UK could get a 7:30 (or even 8:00) kickoff with UT.

UGA/UF will be at 3:30, and the only other SEC matchups that day are USC at A&M and Ole Miss at Auburn.

I also thought the races were Friday/Saturday. Don't see the point of holding races Sunday after the big race Saturday. Thought Friday would lead up to the showdown Saturday.

Keeneland meet ends Saturday, and Churchill's Fall Meet starts Sunday.

Off work the 30th, but unless I can finagle a grandstand ticket, I'll be at the Red Mile for the simulcast. Saturday, I'll make my bets before I leave the house, and watch from the Orange Lot..[smoke]
