It says this happened on January 27th, so why wait three weeks to report it? TMZ originally obtained the police report this morning? Seems odd to me.

Good grief..that whole situation is just a train wreck. First the drama about accusing DeMarco Murray of banging his wife, then he decides to divorce her, then he apologizes to Murray, now he is accused of beating his wife.

Sounds like they are filming for a new reality show......

don't do it, drink and drive or be otherwise impaired, don't argue with your wife, ex-wife, girlfriend or ex-girlfriend while drinking or otherwise impaired. both can and will land you in jail,

AD has not been a stellar citizen since he left OU for the league, yet while at OU was well behaved, at least as far as we knew or hear. BC looks to be in the same water, except short the NFL contract and notoriety.still a reflection on OU in some regard, family is family.

I don't have kids so I guess me and Peterson aren't in the "same water".

Nice fail at a cheap shot though.

Well, they both might be employed in the Department of Corrections soon. It's just that one will be making $1.25/hr making license plates.

I can't tell if you're serious asking such an inane question about a tongue-in-cheek statement.

But if you're seriously inquisitive, I'll Google that for you.

Yes. http://www.ok.gov/doc/faqs.html#q1760

Do offenders receive pay for work performed during incarceration?[/URL]

Those offenders having institutional job assignments are paid up to $20 per month. A very limited number of offenders having special skills and/or assigned to special projects may receive slightly more. Additionally, offenders assigned to Oklahoma Correctional Industries (OCI) are paid slightly more. The reasoning behind paying offenders is two fold: it serves as an incentive to perform well and it ensures that the offender has money to purchase personal hygiene items of their choice from the canteen.[/B]

However, his crime is obviously in Texas, Dallas County, if you read the TMZ report. Texas does not pay inmates for work, but some private correction facilities do.

How do offenders spend their day?
The day starts with wake-up call at 3:30 a.m. and breakfast is served at 4:30 a.m. Offenders report to their work assignments at 6:00 a.m. Every offender who is physically able has a job in the prison system. Offenders are not paid for their work, but they can earn privileges as a result of good work habits. Offenders also learn job skills that can help them find employment when released from prison.

My apologies, I forgot to put the
at the end of that... I was joking, but thanks for the info. I didn't know how Oklahoma's system worked.

As for Texas, well, it varies from unit to unit...

Yes, they do get paid, I used to work state, federal Corrections before becoming a firefighter. When I worked state I worked at Mable Bassett and the first few weeks there I primarily worked Death Row and then I had to pull a visiting weekend . A inmate came up to me and asked me how I liked my new car and after asking her how she knew she said she did the title work for it. They also answered the phones for the department of tourism there., you would be surprised how much government stuff is handled by inmates. The McAlister prison makes a ton of furniture and we have even bought prison made beds/furniture from them. They used to have a huge catfish farm down there, not sure if they still do.
