Mike is still suspect. Auburn lost their starting QB in the 1st half, so made Mike's job alot easier in the 2nd half.
Not only that, but coming into this game Auburn wasn't a huge threat to throw the ball. So that's a good thing that OU's secondary really wasn't tested all night long.
Defense played really well last night. I was very concerned about stopping a smash-mouth type of offense and was very pleased at the toughness and physical play by our defense that shut down their running game. Auburn was definitely a one-dimensional offense once White went out of the game, but the play by our D-line and LBs was the difference in the game.
Fortunately, almost everyone on defense returns, so hopefully this will be a much better defensive team in 2017. If OU is to make a serious run at a National Championship in 2017, the defense needs to continue to improve.

No crow yet...but the defense played hard hitting tough ball last night. After the 1st Auburn score, he adjusted a bit. Speaking of after the first series, Kelly played a great ball game last night.
OU couldn't have wished for a better team to play in the Sugar Bowl. Auburn was 8-4 this year, now 8-5. Just what the Sooners needed to finish the season. A good win at a prestigious bowl. Nice.
Our D looked good because it faced an SEC offense.

And also Auburns starting QB broke his arm on the opening drive and ended up playing that way until he left. That pretty much ended Auburns passing attack for the game. Mike just had to load the box the rest of the way. Auburns throwing game was effectively done after one drive in the game.
