Russia is one of those places. Along with all Muslim countries, Singapore, China and many more. There are Americans imprisoned all over the world for in some instances decades for less. There is absolutely nothing we can do about it and Britney griner made a terrible mistake. Listen Americans. If you’re gonna travel abroad check the drug laws of the country your going to. Some will just confiscate and send you home others will put you away. I worked for the state department and they will make your family feel like something is being done but there is absolutely nothing your country will do for you. You want to smoke ganja on your vacation? Go to a country with lax laws and buy it there don’t carry it into an airport well unless you’re in Colombia.
I like my weed as much as anyone but I am getting on a plane next week and will not be bringing any with me. I don't think it's any big deal but I don't make the laws in Russia.
