We can wax poetically about Brohm being loyal to his guys....blah blah blah. The fact of the matter is that he leveraged his alma mater to secure Dabo-type money. I think Brohm is a tremendous coach but he is not worth that much.

The tricky thing is that he was way more of a sure thing than the other options we have.

I hope that UofL fans get behind whomever we hire because they have a hell of a task in front of them. There are multiple players who might need to be encouraged to find another program. And the new coach has got to find a suitable QB.

Next year is going to be rough 4-8 maybe worse. The schedule is tough.

The only thing we can hope for they find a good coach that can recruit. I don't see that combination as of yet.

Very disappointed in Jeff. Why lead UofL and the whole community on? Oh, that's right, for a bigger payday! As if he wasn't making enough damn money..Jeff comes off as one greedy SOB.

The other problem for the new coach is that Brohm will continue to poach local players for the near term at least.

Not that it will distract you from your self-flagellation festival, but there is no new contract yet on the table at Purdue. There will be one, of course, but Bobinski's approach was to "make sure Purdue was where he wanted to be". If so....then we'll talk contract.

Realistically there are better coaches out there. He's shown only similar results at Purdue that he did at Western. I think he's a good coach but likely not great.

The only real danger is getting the wrong guy. JB was at least a known quantity---an 8-4 type quantity but safe. Now Tyra just needs to not screw el poocho & the Cards'll be fine. Better than, w/ a bit of luck.
