I keep drumming on this, but kid was OBVIOUSLY the best runner. Why does he have zero touches since non-con?

Is it going to far to wonder if the OL just doesn't wanna play that hard for Newby? 8 times out of 10 he makes the wrong cut and wastes their effort anyhow...I know I'd get pretty sick of throwing blocks for a guy who doesn't know to cut behind me and use my block when I lock onto a defender.

Best I could gather from some on here in the past couple days is that his issues are off the field. I am not going to even begin to speculate.

It started with he can`t pass protect but now it appears to be an off field issue and I wouldn`t look for him.

No idea. It's just crazy to me that we're 8 games in and Newby is still our starter. I know our line is nothing to write home about, but Newby's lack of production is a problem. I just don't understand. I'd rather have Ozigbo in at this point and just take his bumps. We're 3-5. We don't have much to lose anymore.

What I'm hoping is that players aren't starting to push back. Heck maybe they already have been. I did hear that there was an altercation on the sideline towards the end of the game with one of our best defensive players and a coach. Hopefully it had more to do with the emotions at the time and not something bigger.

I didn't hear this. Was it on the broadcast?

If Stevenson can play - so be it - but from what he has shown on KO returns - he is nothing special.

When defenders grab Newby he goes down like a rag doll on average - then its second and 8 and we are passing. Its sick; other backs get 4-6 on similar carries.

He's in Langsdorf's doghouse along with Adam Taylor. Probably both working on their transfer requests.
"More Than Winning" or whatever else the bloners used when he refused to put talent on the field. Derp derp derp.
