Any other Sooners injured or recovering? Good to see Pledger running well. I can’t think of anyone else being hurt and not playing...

Post game (Sports Animal) discussed this. They think so.
Interesting.
With Stevenson making a strong presence and Marcus Major (who might be very good if he ever runs behind the starting offensive line), Pledger could play 4 games (one against Texas) and redshirt.
Personally, I believe Pledger won't be redshirted and that Major will be. I just think Pledger is too good to redshirt and I believe it might be why he saw action last Saturday perhaps a game earlier than expected 7 days before Texas......and this may also be a sign that Brooks needs more time to recover.
Either way, OU's coaches will do what is right.
Next season will have McGowan and McClellen coming in while Sermon leaves early (?). That's going to make for a very deep corps of running backs.

Not too sure I'd want Pledger handling the rock as long as he's wearing all that plaster. Not with a game on the line, at least. I think they put him in against Kansas just to see how well he could secure the ball in live conditions. Also not a receiving threat with that cast, which means the defense has one less thing to think about when he's in there.

Good point.
So maybe he plays regularly after the cast is removed which I'm guessing is either this week or next.
