Brooks is wearing a boot in the most recent pictures from Italy. Hopefully the fact that he is on the trip and presumably walking around is a good sign that he'll recover in time for the season.

Hopefully it’s not a serious foot injury and boot is only precautionary.

Barnhizer at volleyball match last night still in boot. Berry also there looked fine. And…….Ryan Langborg there with former teammates.

In a boot for over a month does not seem like a minor injury. Hopefully he’ll be ready sooner than later.

Is the boot now precautionary? wears it when he is not doing bball related activities? or are we saying he still has not resumed any basketball activities...If that is the case may be B10 season b4 he is back to 100%

So my basketball source was back in town for the football game against Indiana and reports...

We ran into Brooks and Ty Berry at the game. Most of the basketball team was there. I didn't see Big Matt though.

Brooks was not wearing a boot.

PwB, your source is wrong. Barney most definitely had a walking boot on when he was in the North stands. I was about 10 feet away from him.

I was one foot from him. 100% in a boot and on his other foot had some strange contraption around his sneaker. It was like a teva like sandal with a soft cushion that went under his sneaker and was between the sneaker and ground.

Btw. Saw martinelli and Blake head up to the student section.

Blake still skinny but arms looked like he’s been lifting. Martinelli is one tall skinny dude.

Sneaker lift could be an EVENup. Keeps non-booted foot at same level as booted foot.

Well sorry about that. I'll have to have a word with her. I had one full day of thinking Barnhizer is fine, nothing to worry about.

Now I'm right back to "we're screwed if Barnhizer isn't ready."

I can also confirm that Brooks had a boot on when I gave Ty and him fist bumps at the game just outside the south stands.

Saw him Sat and still in boot. Asked him and he indicated that it was coming off soon. Sure hope so

Does not seem like a lot of time to get in bball condition.....might be missing some playing time early on or limited anyway.
