Yeap. I should hate him, but I don't.
He is such a good coach. Plus he is really, really bright.

I think they have already imporved......I'd take him when Cal leaves.......good coach....good recruiter......
I like him too. Have been on record several times on here saying that I would take him at UK after Cal leaves and I stand by that.
Be careful though if you feel the same way. Many on here think he is the scum of the earth for lying to the NCAA. But I'm here to tell you, I would lie through my teeth to that shady organization and not think twice about it. They nail BP with a show-cause for lying about a BBQ, yet give a 9 game suspension to Boheim for running a shady program for better than a decade.
Bruce Pearl is not scum. If he is scum then Boheim is Charles Manson. BP is a helluva coach, and PROVEN. He has charisma as an above poster said, and has the presence and marketing savvy to run a program like UK. What Auburn is doing right now is just setting the plate for the future. Watch out for BP down the road, and I hope UK gives him a look after Cal retires.
Bruce will never coach at UK because he does not meet the first criteria needed to coach here. ..That being, he is not a good coach.

The bs claim that Calipari rolls the ball out there and lets his team use a playground style was actually true with Pearls UT teams.

I like him, too. He made a huge life altering mistake as the coach of Tennessee. He did his time. As long as he learned from it and doesn't repeat it he will be a successful coach at Auburn. Would be nice if LSU, UF, Ark, and Auburn could really elevate their programs. It benefits the entire conference.
Fadhi - You really feel he's not a good coach? Unethical, perhaps, but that's probably like 75% of Division I coaches out there if you get into the nitty gritty details. But his ability to coach doesn't seem like a problem.

He had a lot of thugs and punks on his team but what he did at ut was amazing
he was the only team to beat memphis in the regular season with Rose and co. He took ut further than they expire had n the tourney. He took them to,their first number one ranking. Recruited well and so on.
