Not up to the level of Sidd Finch, though. I don’t recall having read the actual SI article, so I learned a lot from reading its Wiki. Plimpton did an impressive job. It was very interesting to read of Plimpton’s anxiety about the joke bombing. You likely have heard of Plimpton being an active participant in the NFL (Paper Lion) and MLB; he also did the comedy circuit with Don Rickles and did a standup routine. He knew what it was like to bomb and he was terrified of that happening.
