This sucks.
Kentucky at Tennessee was a top five team. Kentucky when playing Alabama was a top 5 team. Kentucky in the post season wasn't even to a top 40 team. These rankings are based on how good they were compared to the rest of the tournament and not the rankings. Am I supposed to believe that a top 5 team in early March is suddenly not even a top 40 team? Or is it more likely that the proper focus to win and advance was not stressed to the team? Cal is comfortable and thinks he is untouchable. Up until 2025, I guess that is true. I'm not sure what changes in 2025 to make him magically go away.
I don't see Cal leaving because Mitch won't pony up, regardless of how badly he does next year. And yes, it sucks, but I am stepping away from the bitching/moaning sessions that folks are constantly creating in some belief that if they create enough complaint threads, Mitch will somehow surprise all of us and fire Calipari.
Unfortunately, it isn't happening as we had all hoped, and continuing to beg/whine/complain about a coaching change on a message board isn't going to do a thing.
We can complain about Cal's crappy coaching all we want. And we can even say "I can't wait for the day he's gone". But starting threads about new coaches being available now, firing Cal anyway even after Mitch already gave him the thumbs up for another miserable year, and worst of all, continuing this sophomoric calling out of other fans Haters/Huggers, makes no sense. Mitch made the decision, now we are forced to watch the train wreck for another year (probably more).
