they have athletes, but next to georgia and south carolina, texas is probably the least quick team in the sec. no ninja guards for the longhorns. noah and perry, for instance, should be just fine in a game like this. we match up well considering. we’ll need oweh to have another big game though. not sure on this one, but it’s probably one of the most winnable games left.

This could be a loonngg 2 weeks.
Just kidding, but we’re going to need a bigger game from Noah & Perry and that’s a big ask.
Just win the game, it doesn’t matter how ugly just find a way to win. Need balance from everyone starting tomorrow night

Expect losses and if we win somehow it’s massive . Our PG’s. Now are Perry and Amari.!! Think about how insane that is lol
I was thinking today, how good do you think we would've been if we stayed healthy. Maybe a few bumps and bruises,a guy miss a game here or there.

I look at Williams,Almanor,garrisons,Brea growth.
Figure in Robinson butler Carr ect. Imo we had a good shot to finish in the top 3!

Well with Carr healthy we beat Alabama, , I’d say we would have only 4 losses at most if we stayed healthy or Kerr being out only.

or if Reed Sheppard stayed 1 more year. While it sounds crazy we seen star players stay at other schools many times.

Could banked some NIL money and would be doing better than sitting the pine avg 3 ppg shooting a miserable 31% from field and 27% from 3.

We may very well take some lumps but we are solid in the tourney seed regardless, let’s make a run when it counts.

This is usually where we dropped one. Beat top 5 lose to a team you are supposed to beat. Please 8lb 6oz baby Jesus let us buck the trend without our 1pg, 2pg and erg. Please we need this.

We’re actually underdogs so I wouldn’t consider this a game we’re supposed to win. Especially with the injuries.

I think Collin Chandler finally contributes. It's time. 8-10 points incoming
If Chandler hits double digits it's a dang near lock for a win. His offense has a long way to go but he's one of the few guys we have that can stick with his man on defense.

It will be interesting to see which way Pope goes with the lineup. Obviously Noah and Perry will get more time. Hopefully they can step up on the road. We need the good Amari as well. We're facing another desperate team coming off 3 straight losses and needing a win.

Lamont is beat up.
I know when you are playing the game it is hard to not get caught up in the moment, but Lamont did a dumb thing by diving to the floor after the ball. I was concerned that he would be taken out by a screen. It never crossed my mind that he would dive to the floor after a ball that wasn't that important to get. Basically, he did it to himself. This is analogous to a team's must-be-on-the-floor player collecting his 5th foul at a critical moment in the game with a half court foul away from the ball. It just wasn't very smart knowing his condition.

Perry can't guard any PG in theSEC. I hope Pope lets Oweh bring ball up and handle PG. I'm fine with Noah getting 20 plus minutes, he's not as big a defensive liability.

I'm not sure what it is but I'm guessing there is a reason Oweh hasn't already been our main ball handler with all our injuries.

We need Carr to step up BIG TIME tomorrow!!!
I agree, and think Carr needs to start looking for his offense much more. To me, he doesn't look quite as confident with his outside shot now, and maybe a little gun-shy about knocking around in the post. But Carr is the best post-up/interior scorer UK has, and we need some of those high% baskets and foul opportunities. I'm not sure that he's 100% yet, but that could be mental and working his way back rather than any physical stiffness or limitation at this point.

Oweh could sure take the physicality of being pushed up on by ball pressure, but he doesn't have a tight enough handle. It's really pretty loose, which works ok for full-head-of-steam drives but tends to get away from him dribbling on the perimeter. That handle and smoothing out that 3pt. shot a little more this off-season is his ticket to an opportunity in the NBA, I believe.

I understand your point but at this level of play, athletes use instincts and in this case, you see a loose ball, you go get it. Hard to change that mentality in a player like Butler.

Texas is down a combined 20 points and 13 rebounds from their frontcourt without Kaluma and Weaver.

Our bigs should be able to feast in this game.
